    Lug Nut impact socket set?

BMW, Merc, VW, audi, volvo etc will use 17mm. They also use bolts not nuts which is weird but effective. Alot of cars are using 22mm as well. I'd get that set then spring for a 17mm thin wall and a 22mm regular socket. That should about cover everything aside from wheel locks. You can get an...

Between 705 & 1200 SQ/FT I'd love to have a shop that looked like this.

Wow, awesome shop! My favorite part of it is that you're not too afraid to use it. The overspray on the ground and comments of stuff being left out all over the place makes me think that this shop is being used in the same manner of a real Texaco from back int he day! If I ever have a pristine...

    Lift in short garage?

I'd grab a standard two post and install it through the cieling. that way if you ever get a larger shop, you'll have the right lift.

Why are 12 point sockets everywhere.

I've used 12 points on square fasteners. I made a caliper press and used a square nut that is meant to be turned with a socket or open end wrench. A 24mm 12 point works just fine.

    Carbon Fiber Wrenches

I think this would be useful to anybody to has had to carry a heavy handheld toolbox. I used to do side jobs working on boats and I had to carry about a 60 lb box a quarter mile some times to get out to the boats that I had to work on. You couldn't get a rolling box either as they didn't work...

    Carbon Fiber Wrenches

I cannot say that I am not impressed. They look very cool. I'm always up for new technology. I hope they can apply this new technique of making tools to something more benificial. Maybe a carbon fiber breaker bar?

aimco brake rotors - anyone with experience

Okay, obviously my conversation with you guys has no merit. What Blarf said is correct. Some cars will feel the effects of parallelism being off because of the caliper piston travel to brake pedal travel ratio. AKA, pistons have a large surface area. Now I'm clocking out. You can go on believing...

aimco brake rotors - anyone with experience

Gotcha, google warped rotors and this is the first link: http://www.brakeandfrontend.com/warped-rotors-myth/ But as you and the other guy say, they must be warped :willy_nil

aimco brake rotors - anyone with experience

Rotors don't actually warp under normal or even abusive situations. Brake pulsation comes from lack of parallelism in the rotors surface. This is caused by the brake pad wearing more on certain spots on the rotors surface more than others which is caused by rotor runout upon installation or...

aimco brake rotors - anyone with experience

Make sure you look into why the brakes ended up causing pulsation in the pedal. I can tell you that they didn't warp. Often times it could be a dirty hub, other times it could be that the lug nuts were improperly and unevenly torqued. If you have a dial indicator, you'll want to do a runout test...

Leave air compressor tank under pressure?

In your case, I'd just drain the whole tank. It's only a ten gallon tank anyways. If I had a 80 gallon tank and it used it on a weekly basis, I'd drain the water after use and after the tank has reached ambient temperature. clearing the lines because of the water is a little over the top. If you...

    Matco Torque Sticks

450 ftlbs! Wow, what are you working on? It's different when it comes to passenger vehicles. Torque specs are very important on lug nuts. It's not so much the specific torque value but that all the fasteners are torqued to the same value. Say a torque wrench is 3% off and torques a Toyota...
