Craftsman sockets U.S. made vs China made

It's inevitable, china is going to eventually have the same standards as Taiwan and the USA. I like mu Taiwan made tools. Would I rather have USA? Yes definately but I can't find any faults in quality between my Grey Pneumatic and my Sunex impact sockets. I used to have a set of crossforce USA...

    MDS Knipex Sale

Hmm, okay. Google shopping seems to bring up slightly lower prices but you have to pay shipping at a lot of stores unless you go over $75. Which, if you're buying Knipex, you're going to go over $75, lol. I don't keep up with knipex pricing so I don't know if all the stores that I'm seeing are...

    Best value Impact sockets.

I have both GP and Sunex and I am equally happy with both. Sunex sockets are about 5%-10% shorter but they are embossed.

Spin Wrench The worlds stress free wrench!

I can see the use for it if you don't have to remove other parts to get to the bolt your trying to remove. I can't see where you're going to get the torque from. It takes ft lbs to remove the fasteners in the video if they were already tightened. 200 inch lbs of force is only 16 ft/lbs. The...

Spin Wrench The worlds stress free wrench!

Maybe you could incorporate a slide hammer on the string to impact the nut loose. You would have to have some type of string or wire that wouldn't stretch.

Impact wrench, IR is the best most proven manufacturer for impacts out there. If you can break one, then you shouldn't be fixing things for a living! Box, I had the HF 44" top chest that I kept in my truck. It was an awesome box for the money. It can be used professionally in my opinion. Now I...

    Irwin Tap and Die set

I used a 1/2" Irwin tap to tap into hardened steel forks on a large fork truck. It lasted as good as any others that I used. I'd go for the 66pc set as you are most likely going need the one tap or die that doesn't come in the other sets.

    electric motor vs gunk ???

It's called a swing press.I've never damaged bearings by hammering them in. The trick is to hammer something that is set against the bearing. If you think about it, the concept is very similar to an actual press only in shorter spurts.

Snap-on Toolbox hit by car Repair

Awesome work. I bet that mechanic is kicking himself on the money he could have made on that bent up box. I have a top/bottom blue point box that I fixed a lot of dents and bent up drawers on. It used to get hit by tires probably 5 times a day so it had a lot of dents. I hammered them out and...

    electric motor vs gunk ???

I use dawn soap as opposed to brake cleaner on sensitive surfaces (including brake pads/rotors/rubber boots etc) because it does not leave a residue. Dawn soap really is some amazing stuff.

So if they dont make it anymore do it yourself

If you want to make these higher torque, couldn't you drill a hole through the side of the handle while also having the hole go through the socket and drive a pin or nail into that hole? That should keep the socket from slipping.
