    Matco Torque Sticks

I never use torque sticks. I can see that they can be useful but in reality you are going to have to double check the torque on the bolts with a calibrated torque wrench regardless. It's important that wheel torque is equal on all the lugs on the rim. uneven torque leads to rotors having...

    Let's see your toolbox.

****, for $300 though.... That's a bad paint job but if it was worn down to the metal before, then it'll keep it from getting rusty. Function over form I guess?

Who has the Gearwrench XL Gearbox double box end ratcheting wrenches?

I've used the Cornwell extra long double box with no offset. They are great for a lot of things. I wouldn't solely depend on them but the 0* offset can get you into a lot of places where offset can be an issue.

Who has the Gearwrench XL Gearbox double box end ratcheting wrenches?

Yes it is! USPS will ship here pretty cheap but UPS and Fedex really charge a lot. Thanks everyone for all the help. It's amazing I can get super quick answers at 1:30am CST. Garage journal is awesome.

Who has the Gearwrench XL Gearbox double box end ratcheting wrenches?

Good link but $62.90 shipping to where I live in Hawaii :wtf: They use UPS so it's really expensive. I generally stick to Amazon because I can get free shipping.

Who has the Gearwrench XL Gearbox double box end ratcheting wrenches?

Okay, thanks for your answer. Length isn't too much of an issue in most cases. I have shorter wrenches as well. I like the 3* swing arc which will come in handy for making small adjustments on things. but the smaller head is nice and also an issue.

Who has the Gearwrench XL Gearbox double box end ratcheting wrenches?

I thought I saw something about a 5 degree swing arc somewhere which would make it 360*/5*is 72 tooth. I'm going to get them for alignments. I like how the non ratcheting side sticks out on one side. It makes it sort of like a socket which can come in handy. Which do you prefer, the flex with...

Who has the Gearwrench XL Gearbox double box end ratcheting wrenches?

That pulls up the flexible wrenches. The ones I'm interested in getting are these. http://www.gearwrench.com/wrenches/ratcheting/xl-seriestm/gearwrench-85988-12-pc-xl-gearboxtm-double-box-ratcheting-wrench-set-metric.html

Who has the Gearwrench XL Gearbox double box end ratcheting wrenches?

Back from the dead. Sorry guys, but I have a question and I thought it would be better to post it here rather than start a new thread. Does anyone know what the tooth count is on these? I'm going to be purchasing them tonight either way but I couldn't find any info regarding swing arc or tooth...

Quincy 325 craigslist find and repair

I would recommend hitting it with some foamy engine degreaser from an aerosol can. Something like this: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000ABGA6W/?tag=atomicindus08-20 Then get a brush with long strands like a bottle brush or maybe a thin scotch brite pad and work it between the fins. I've used the...

Disconnecting compressor hose. How to muffle the loud bang?

A lot of people are saying that this is a silly convo and to man up but safety is paramount when it comes to working on stuff. It you want to have a long life where you are able to work with your hands you need to take care of yourself. Stuff as silly as this may draw the line for some people...

    Killed my IR2131 impact wrench

Does the Tool Truck Arrival Create Excitement Like an Ice Cream Truck for Kids..?

I don't purchase stuff from the tool trucks but I'd recommend my local Matco guy out of all of them. He tries the hardest to build a relationship and never pressures me to purchase anything. If something is the same price as I can get it for online then I'll get it from him.

    [Introduction] About to go flat-rate

The best tool you can use is your head. If every man is created equal, then you know you need to work harder and smarter than the guy next to you. When you punch that number in the morning you have to want to be there. You have to have the drive to push yourself to move forward. You shouldn't...

My Ingersoll Rand 2235timax after one year.

I've been using mine for a year and I am very happy with it. It's like a 2135 only it doesn't have the same RPM. I like that though. Makes the gun more predictable when using it.

What kind of oil does everyone use on there air tools and around the house?

Nevermind. I just thought of my own answer. Motor oil is protrolium based which will effect any rubber seals that it comes into contact with. But what about brake fluid?

What kind of oil does everyone use on there air tools and around the house?

I'm wondering why you cannot use motor oil. Maybe something like 5-30 or 5-20 since they are the most common.
