    My well is in a concrete pit. We put a heatlamp in there with an infrared bulb. Won't heat up the pit, but is enough to keep the pump from freezing or even thaw out the pump one time it had froze.

    Yep, no need for a torque wrench for drain plugs! You could ruin the plugs and/or the wrench! Keep this handy reference in mind....things that go around and around like wheels need to be 'gorilla tight' Drain plugs only need to be 'monkey tight'

    I doubt if they are liable for your plumber's wild goose chase. If he had double checked their work and looked at the back of the washing machine he would have saved a bunch of work. They certainly owe you an apology and reimbursement for a service call, but they never agreed to pay for cabinets...

    I don't think you need that 2x2 across the top, and you don't need that 2x4 underneath either.
