    Cordless String Trimmer Owners: Weigh-in

I had the ryobi trimmer for three years with no problems at all, last year it started killing batteries for some reason. Turns out it was the charger but since then I've switched to echo and to be honest the cordless is nicer for my small lawn.

bending a 3/8" box offset with 3/4 EMT

What I do because I hate when all the offsets are different ( major ocd issues ) is measure 3'' and 5'' from the end of the pipe and then bend just a touch less then 10 degrees. Works pretty good but does take some practice to get perfect.

Best way to strap EMT to a parallel unistrut?

If you want to run it parallel to the strut and use the strut to hold it what we usually do is a 1/4 spring nut with a 1/4 fender washer with a caddy " stand off " or bolt close hanger. Heres a link to what we use. http://www.erico.com/category.asp?category=R890

Has anyone used these boxes for exposed work?

If you are going to use the boxes without kos then i would look into a set of these. We use them pretty much every day at work and with a steady pressure and some cutting oil last along time. http://www.greenlee.com/products/CUTTER-KIT%2540c-HOLE%2540dCARBIDE.html?product_id=15432

    Power to land

For 1500 ft poco would more then likely run primary to a pad mounted transformer, then from there to your house. Running your own cable 1500 ft isn't going to be cheap as in you have to factor in voltage drop and up size your wire significantly. What I have done before in an area poco wouldnt go...
