In most cases a grungy toolbox performs its job just as well as a clean one. Unless the drawer slides are shot or it doesn't function, I'd leave it alone.

I enjoy mine. I haven't welded anything thick yet but even on 120 volts it does a nice job. My dad has a cheapo mig welder and there's a big difference in weld quality. When it comes to welders, get a good one. Miller is a great company to buy from.

The date stamp and model should be on the back. You might have to look closely. Based on the pics it's worth $250-350 to me. While the old boxes are cool looking they aren't as good as the new stuff so take that into consideration.

This is my experience as well. No a deal breaker but happens enough to be annoying and is something you would have thought the Snapon engineers would have caught during testing.
