Need help getting this spacer off of the shaft....

Ricky Joe, The dry ice would have made the aluminum clamp onto the shaft more that it already was. The coefficient of thermal expansion is higher for aluminum than steel, thus the reason why heat will make the aluminum spacer ID become larger than the steel shaft OD. If you cool both parts...

Can I Helicoil a thru hole (damaged weld-nut)

If the bolt moves the Helicoil your bolt was going to strip threads anyway. In a blind hole the Helicoil is not held in place by the bottom of the hole. The spring tension of the Helicoil holds it in place. A through hole is not an issue.

I drilled the 3.5" hole in the wall and installed the plastic sleeve. Now that the lines are run I still have a lot of space around the lines. What have you used to fill the area around the lines to seal it?

    Double sided washers

In plastic and other composites "compression limiters" are used to allow for proper fastener torque without yielding the base material. I have not seen a DIY version, but all you need is a spacer and couple of standard washers. Or a insert washer and a standard washer, this version is easier...

    ZMotorsports Shop Projects 2.0

Depends on where you live and the layout of the irrigation system. Here in NC I do not blow out my lines, when I lived in MT I had to blow them out since the frost line was too deep. If all your lines are level the heads cannot drain since the head is higher than the supply line. There will...

    Bearing installation direction?

Like most have said it depends on the bearing type. On a bearing with a inner and outer race make sure to always push on the race that is getting the press. If not you can Brinell the race (small indentions in the race from the balls) and cause failure. For a drawn cup needle bearing (like...
