Looks really nice! I have to ask though, why did you decide to make half of it an awning? Seems like it would have been minimal cost to enclose it as the structure/roof/concrete is there.

Stainless hardware is strong enough but it will 100% gall and seize up without anti seize. I have a 30 year old can of the copper stuff and it's never failed to work so I have not looked into alternatives.

Yes, I would kill for a 59 Biarritz. One 57 Biarritz sold for 649k but it was the first one made and perfectly restored. Most are similar price to Brougham. (which is interesting as Brougham cost nearly twice as much when new).

Maybe someone has done this but I wouldn't recommend it. Car floor pans have a bit of give to them, they aren't 100% rigid so I think anything like this will end up cracking over time. I had to modify the floor of my 57 Cadillac for a different frame and step 1 was scraping all factory sound...

Thanks for the info. I completely agree with being as considerate as possible (when you dyno and muffled cars as you mention). The garage I would use is only about 200ft away from the nearest house so not sure that I could get away with it at all. You make a good point though. Loud vehicles...

Awesome setup!! I know you said your neighbors aren't close, how far away approximately? Would love to do this but don't think enough sound proofing or mufflers exist to keep it quiet enough.

I just used pro rib on the ceiling as well and am happy with the result. Why are you looking to use something different for the ceiling?

Thanks, I appreciate the kind words! And yes, the truss spacing at 8ft makes it 95 inches at the ceiling so unfortunately not quite enough to mount an 8ft fixture horizontally. Bottom of the arch to the floor is 11' 6".
