Looking for advice from a locksmith.

Thank you for your response, I might have to replace it. Although I don't just want to throw new parts in if it is not the cause. Especially since there is no visible sign of wear that may impede the latch from retracting or catching on the strike plate. I inspected visually and also ran my...

Looking for advice from a locksmith.

I am the handyman and tried the lube weeks ago. So I took out the lockset on Sunday and clean it out and saw a little piece which was broken off. I lubed it up and reinstalled it, thinking that the little piece probably became stuck on occasion thereby creating the intermittent problem. But...

What to do with 5 gallon pails?

You can sell some off. OR They come in very handy when you have a handy man mixing cement or tile mortar or transferring smaller quantities of drywall mud especially if he is the type that does not clean up after himself. Let the contents dry out and discard. Not my way of doing things but...

How do I cut bottom plate flush with drywall?

Maybe multiple cuts with a circular saw similar to cutting dadoes set at the proper depth. laying on its' side. But not to destroy your saw You should use some kind of wood spacer as a sled. Use different thickness wood to raise the saw off the floor and and clean the rest with a chisel and...

Need a silencer for tile wet saw...

All I have to say is if you have only a couple of hours of tile cutting, buy him and his better half a couple of tickets to a long movie (the longer the better) or a play, and do the cutting then. Best of luck. Thinking outside the box I hope it helps.

Who's using One Key or Ticks?

I have not bought into the One Key system yet BUT I am willing to run the app or bluetooth to help a lost tool find its' rightfull owner. For this reason I am thinking of installing the app. I feel that the more tools find their owner the more chances that this technology will grow and be more...

"Replace a broken tile" - She

The only thing I would like to add is that if you put in a door sill to hide the discrepancy in height like seen in the video I would use a marble sill. The reason being that if there is a spill the marble will not absorb the water and would contain the spill on the inside of the washroom.
