    As with any structure, its seems a good plan until its overloaded. Hanging things from trusses is sketchy. If you hang things, pay attention to your connections.

    The truss will hold it, but only if the design load and SF are not exceeded. Most times the bottom chord is not designed for the load unless you ask, but obviously has some capacity.

    A slab is only as good as the sub base. Spend the time on that, and you can go with no reinforcement.

    Basically you have a cantilevered retaining wall that needs designed. If all other plans are done, I would charge around $600 for the design and a couple of sketches. Not sure what an engineer in Nashville would charge, but if over $1000, find another one. Are you going to step the wall up...

    In Ohio, an Architect can stamp drawings, with or without an engineers review. They are 'trained' on structural design too. Now, most do have a engineer review, but they still stamp. At least some for residential.

    All builders are different. Mine they did expansion anchors. The concrete was at 75% of strength, it was 3 days later.

    Depends on the mix. We used to pour precast in the afternoon, and get 3000-4000 by morning. Also, the block is not that heavy compared to final load. Walk over and ask what psi they used

    Get with an engineer and they could design the blocks based on the strength of the anchors, i.e. if they are only good for X, it doenst matter if you have X+Y footing, anchor is the weak link. Or call them and ask for the overturning moment, and design for that.

    80' length. I would suspect that 20-25' would be max for a LVL based on his location. Would have to run the numbers.

    I Would say that a new ridge beam to support the load. Simple design for an engineer, also might need new footings each end.
