    The DeWalt Addiction Thread

You’ll love it, had mine a couple years and I use it for much more than I ever thought I would. I think you’re right. My Flexvolts work in every 20V tool I have, the only one that is tough is the leaf blower, it’s a very tight fit and sticks out below the base but still works if you force it in!

Thanks, I was waiting to find out if that was the case. I have the Dewalt 1400A booster pack with the built in compressor and was hoping the cordless inflator would be an upgrade but it doesn’t look like it.

I’ve had one almost a year and I love it. I use it much more than I thought I would. I’d have to double check but I think my 9ah Flexvolts even fit in it.

QuickJack - for those of you wondering

I bought them on eBay, came right from China... they smelled terrible. I let them air out for a few weeks before putting them in the garage!

QuickJack - for those of you wondering

Just thought I’d share the truck adapters I made for my Quickjack. I couldn’t pay the $260 with tax price of the genuine Quickjack ones when I knew I could make them myself. I actually saved myself even more because I made them with a third extra low height to work with my Mustang and Mazda3...

Thanks for the review. I will definitely be picking one up, hopefully in the near future. I haven't come across any in Canada yet... everyone just seems to have the bench height one.

What do you think of the rolling stool? I’ve been thinking of picking one up but really want to try it out first.

QuickJack - How do you store the frames?

Definitely store them vertically, it'll save your back for sure. I'll try to dig up a picture of the bracket I made for mine.

QuickJack - for those of you wondering

With no load mine acts like that, but with weight on them they lower evenly. Edit: That’s a reply to circles, I hit reply instead of quote by mistake.

    Electric heater worth while ?

I'm in Ontario just off Lake Huron and have one of these. Last winter it cost me about $50/month through the winter keeping my 500sqft insulated 8' ceiling garage in the 7-10 degree range. I plan on a gas heater, just haven't gotten around to running a line and buying one...

Just curious, are you replacing the quick jack for any reason?

    PSA swollen lug nuts

Definitely an ongoing issue. I wonder why the OE nuts are like that, you’d think it’d be less expensive to make a one piece nut. I look after the seasonal tire changes for many of my family members so every new vehicle that is purchased gets a shiny new set of solid McGard nuts.

QuickJack - for those of you wondering

If any Canadian members are looking for one is seems Costco has dropped the price to $999.97 in store. Even if anyone in the US is close enough to the border it could be worth the trip across because that’s only $762 USD!

Anyone use the new DeWalt 20v brushless angle grinder?

I have the DCG413 if that’s the one you’re asking about. Works great, lots of power but tough on batteries as I’m sure most cordless grinders are. It doesn’t bother me as I have many 5.0ah and Flexvolt batteries and I’m usually just using it to grind down the odd weld.

Is the breather on the reservoir closed by any chance? I just set up my BL-5000SLX on the weekend and loving it so far!

I picked one up just last week, I'm sure it'll come in handy!

Very happy with mine, it’s been going strong for about 2 years now. Only downside I’ve found is the Flexvolt batteries are a very tight fit and stick out below the base.
