    best grinder stand plans

I always like the harrow blade stands. Heres my craftsman grinder stand. I never really liked wheel stands but now that I have one, It’s growing on me. I made a hanger for a metal quench pail, so I can cool hss tool blanks, or anything when grinding. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Help! Craftsman Power Hacksaw 108.1502

After looking on google images, it looks like the part is pretty basic. I think the original may have been cast iron. A piece of steel flat bar would work too. Looks like it’s just 2 drilled and tapped holes and a slot milled on one end. I might be able to handle that if you can’t find anyone...

    Harbor Freight Floor Jacks

I have the plain 3 ton jack, have had it for a year or more. I have left it outside for quite a while and after bringing it back inside see no problems with it. The pressure release is a little fidgity, it can be a little hard to get used to, but really no problems. I use it to lift my 4500...

How to clean files that are rusted and clogged?

Exactly what I was gonna say. I heard about this from Frank Ford on his luthier website. I have been doing it and it works great for single cuts

    Choose your own Hammer

I would go with a 24 ounce or whatever is closest to that (I don't know what weights the snap on hammers are available in). I have been using a 24 ounce deadblow for a while and get a lot of use out of it, I almost never need a smaller one, and rarely need a bigger one.

Tekton Roll Pin Punches with Walnut Base

I'm in Arizona, so most of these stores I haven't heard of. Now that I think about it, I might have seen some tekton in a brick and mortar store, but can think of where it was. Might have just been a mom and pop shop.

Tekton Roll Pin Punches with Walnut Base

Where do you usually see them in stores? I have never personally seen tekton anywhere but online. Yeah I saw that larger set, definitely looks good.

Tekton Roll Pin Punches with Walnut Base

Thanks for pointing that out! I guess it was pretty obvious. I'm not well versed on all the brands and what not. That is pretty cool! I though tekton was just another chinese selling company. I just happened to see the Grace branded punches in the suggested products section and made the...

Tekton Roll Pin Punches with Walnut Base

Have you guys seen this tekton product before? I just happened to be searching Amazon and this showed up. It looks pretty decent for a chinese made product, maybe a little pricey. Appears to be the same as "Grace" brand punches. I like the base. What are your opinions...

Are these CL drill press vises worthwhile?

They are pretty handy, and not just for drill presses either, I use one for all sorts of stuff. I would pay no more than 15 for that stuff myself, but I wouldn't drive very far for it either. Who knows, maybe the seller has some other good tools he's willing to sell too?

From 18v Dewalt to 20v or 18v ryobi

Definitely replace the batteries. I have seen online some cheaper aftermarket batteries for different brands of cordless tools, if you are really wanting to save some money, but I have never tried them. As for ryobi, I like them a lot. In my experience, ryobi's lithium batteries have lasted me...

Let's Hear Your: "Tools I Found in the Junkyard/Road" Etc.

I might have mentioned this in another thread, but me and my dad were going back to work from lunch one day and we both spot a black box with orange letters sitting in the middle of the road. My dad turns around and I hop out and grab it and it turned out to be a brand new looking bostitch brad...

    Safety glasses

I don't own these glasses but have been eying them (no pun intended) for a while. I like the design because things can't get in through the sides, which is nice when you are drilling rivets on the belly of an aircraft, because the metal shavings always seem to go through the sides of regular...

snap on air drill with ground off serial number on ebay

I would. There is no identification any more to prove the original owner so it is probably safe. I doubt anyone is really on a manhunt to find a tool, that is, except for the guys on here haha!

Tool Box for Bedroom Storage (Instead of Wood Furniture)

Not a bad thought! Check out the harbor freight boxes, they are relatively cheap. Only problem is that most tool boxes have a considerable amount of shallow drawers, and that might pose a problem because they might be to shallow to store clothes in. Neat idea though, takes some pics if you...

Ryobi Angle Grinder. Best deal for the price. Here's why.

I will start by saying I don't own a ryobi angle grinder. I will say that I have owned several ryobi cordless drills and have never had much problem with them. In fact I would say they are great drills. My dad had used them for years when he worked as a bathroom remodeler. I agree that having...
