    ******'s new garage

Thank you, I have a lot more I want to do to the garage, but it's going to have to wait due to budget restraints. I went to Texas this weekend to visit my grandpa because I'm not sure how much time he has left, otherwise I would have been moving the cars. That's whats going tomb going on this...

    ******'s new garage

It has a 30" throat, it's bigger than the one I use at work, haha. It's a little ridiculous for a home shop, but I got a good price on it, and it never fails, if you have a 30" throat, you're going to need to cut something 31".

    ******'s new garage

I got my mill, lathe, and bandsaw moved up to the garage today and placed where they are going. Also got the 4 post lift up there, so I need to reassemble that. There is still a lot of work to do before I’m working in there, but I’m excited it’s coming together.

Keep the bugs out of the shop!!

Thanks for this, I tried a couple, and while the problem isn’t eliminated, it is much better. I am able to actually work now without flies constantly in my face, I will definitely be buying more.

    ******'s new garage

Thanks for the help and advice guys. After some advice from someone experienced, it was decided to cut the wall, so I did it this past weekend. I cut the section out on Saturday, and Sunday, I removed the lower section of the wall to down below the floor, framed the door and put concrete in the...

    Well help

Originally built in 1928. I don't have info on the well, I'm going to have to look into that. Chlorinating the system doesn't put the chlorine/bleach into the septic tank, so I'm not worried there. I'm still moving in, and haven't met anybody from the area yet, but I'll keep an eye out for...

    ******'s new garage

I guess I'm going to have to have a contractor come look at it since I don't know enough about it. I prefer to do stuff myself, but this is out of my area of expertise. I hope it isn't too expensive, I don't have a lot of money to spare, but want to get this done before moving into the garage.

    Well help

Thanks guys, Yea I'm thinking I'm going to have a local well company come out for this first time, so that they can familiarize me with everything. To answer some of the other questions, one reason I want to clean the well is because it is a new well to me, I don't know when it was last...

    Well help

Hopefully it's ok to post this here, and it's the right place. As some of you know, I recently purchased my first home. The property uses a well, and I am new to having a well. I want to do the bleach treatment to it, but I'm a but unsure of what to do on my specific well. My well head...

    Reasoning for thread being moved

Hey, I'm new here, and thought I put my thread in the correct place but it got moved. I started this thread https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=403570 As my new garage "build" (for lack of a better word) so that I can ask questions and get the help I need for what I want to do...

    ******'s new garage

You don't think that since the top half of the wall is just the wood framing, that just putting a wide door frame in there would work?

I'm back from my trip. Nobody has any thoughts on cutting the wall?

    Well water testing questions

I just bought a house with a well, and am new to having a well also. I had these guys test the water. https://watercheck.com/collections/well-water-tests Their most comprehensive test was $230. They send you a box with bottles and an ice pack. You put the ice pack in the freezer for at...

Keep the bugs out of the shop!!

This has just become an issue for me at my new garage, but my issue isn't crawley creatures, it's flying ones. Small flies are currently abundant, and I don't appreciate them trying to land on me while working. Does anyone have solutions for this, in a wooded area?

    ******'s new garage

Thank you! I know! Make a post on the garage journal and don't even post a photo of the garage, fail! I'm correcting that a little bit right now. Yes, I'll definitely be adding more info and photos when I ask my questions. And I'll definitely ad some info and photos of the cars! Thank...

    ******'s new garage

Hey guys, I'm new here, and also am new to having my own garage. I closed on my own place on Thursday, so now comes the task of making it my own. First, just a little bit of back story. Up till now, all my active projects have been occupying the garage at my parents house, with the exception...
