Not to go off topic of Duralast, but a month ago, I tried to warranty a $4 pair of wire cutters at Harbor Freight that I bought a year ago. They denied my warranty because I didn't have the receipt nor was it in their system when they looked up my customer account. :mad:

My favorite drivers were the SK hard handles offered in the 1990s that were made in France. I've lost a few over the years, so I decided to buy some Wiha which I don't like at all. I then bought the Witte Maxpros which are now my favorite, maybe even more than those old SKs. Screwdrivers...

I'm in agreement with the OP. My main 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 socket sets are SK. I love SK tools, but I never warmed up to their ratchets (except for the Tuff1).

What do you guys use for all-purpose heavy-duty scissors and/or shears? I'm usually cutting hose, twine, cardboard, etc...We have a pair of Wiss shears at work, but I want to know what else is out there.:beer:

I would go with the largest unit you could afford. I have a Husky 2 stage 80 gal unit, which is a rebranded Campbell Housefeld. I bought it in 2008 and the pump is marked "USA"; they're imported now. It's kind of an oddball unit because it only puts out 12.6 cfm at 90 psi. I paid $800...
