Pole barn builder in SE WI/NE IL?

Any recommendations? My wife has been bugging me for a she-shed. And thanks to GJ my attached garage space is over flowing with tools, so I figure the best approach is to tackle 2 things with one swing. I plan to check with a couple local contractors buddies for recommendations as well, but I...

Added a couple new wood working tools that my brother made. The mallet has a hickory handle and a katalox head. And the marking knife was turned from ironwood.

The wood mallet was made by my older brother from hickory for the handle and Katalox for the head. He cranks out some cool stuff on the lathe as he also hooked my up with a cool wood handled marking knife. Now I need to reciprocate with some printed tool mounts.

With the new 3D printer, the 35 plus year old dial caliper needed an upgrade as it was having some issues with the zero lock screw. Man, this new one is slick and having both imperial and metric, along with fractions is very nice!

Finally started using some my prints for organizing my wood working tools. The plane mounts and mallet hook (which I had to modify) were from Thingiverse and the others I drew up in Fusion. The chisel rack really helped me learn a few things like patterning and adding ribs. I still have plenty...

I tried the rotation function initially and could never get to sit exactly flat on the print bed. But the plane change worked perfectly.

What do you know as I figured there was a simple command to get this accomplished. It took me a couple minutes, but it appears to have worked, Just redid the slicer file and the print is underway! Thanks LoganB!!

I stayed busy printing this week and successfully printed a number of self created and borrowed items from Thingiverse. But I hit my first snag today and could use some guidance. One of several items I downloaded from Thingiverse was saved in the wrong orientation (laying vertical and needs to...

Now that the house is back to normal (and empty) after a hectic holiday weekend, I finally had the time to get the printer fired up. The first print was a test Prusa logo and it went perfect. So I quickly loaded up a simple small combo square wall mount I designed and in another 75 minutes we...

I noticed a Fedex truck leaving my driveway around 1 yesterday and was surprised to find 2 boxes from CZ. Amazing shipping times as they were delivered within 48 hours of receipt by Fedex in Prague and considering the distance, the packaging looked untouched. But we had a small gathering...

The busy board came out great! We made a similar one for 2 of our grandson's last year and they still enjoy playing it.

Surprisingly enough, mine hit Memphis last night, cleared customs in <1 hour and arrived at the MKE hub with a Monday eta. So hopefully I will be printing next week!

Yep as I downloaded it right after making the purchase and have a growing list of items to print. Slowly figuring it out and was able to design a couple tool holders along with several things from Thingiverse.

Yippee as just received the shipping notice for my Prusa i3 MK3S!!! I was hoping it would ship quicker than the original early Jan. estimate as I am light duty for a month (no real garage work) and this new toy will help keep me occupied.

Totally forgot about buying this year’s Wera Advent calendar tool kit. The small screw drivers already came in handy to remove the battery cover on a couple of the grandkid‘s gifts.

First brake job on our ‘13 Ford Edge. I was very impressed as the original pads and rotors lasted >100k miles, which is by far the longest life I have ever experienced… especially for the front. Then after a test drive and tool clean up, I spent some time sharpening one of my new wood chisels.

Well, I pulled the trigger last night and now the wait begins (I hit the easy button and ordered an assembled MK3). I have some down time coming up in 2 weeks and will be on light duty for a bit, so I can keep myself busy with some of these Fusion learning options.

Thanks and good point on the VAT as I never thought about it. Looks like the VAT limit is $800, which might explain the kit price. And with the $200 min for the free shipping, think I will just stick with the kit and order a few other filament colors from another source like the matte PLA from...
