Thanks for that advice. I'll try vice grips first and weld them if need be.

    Car Jacks and Jack Stands

The northern tool version I got did not have a rubber pad, hmm. But it has proven to be a very good jack for the money.

My F-150 lost a leaf spring today.

I was going to use LMC truck for most of it, unless someone objects, because they are located very close to me.

    Car Jacks and Jack Stands

I just picked up an Arcan jack from Nothern Tool and it's built like a tank. 3.5 Ton cap with low enough profile to get under small cars and good lift height for larger vehicles.

    She got me art!

Having just had some fairly nasty bacon for breakfast I'm starting to see how all this links together.

My F-150 lost a leaf spring today.

I do have another question though. Since I don't need this truck up and running really soon I was going to pull the bed off to give myself more space to work and allow me a better vantage point to inspect/clean/paint everything. However, the first carriage bolt I went to remove spun in the...

My F-150 lost a leaf spring today.

Thanks for the advice guys. Unfortunately my cost is a bit higher due to needing new leaf springs. Looks like I get to buy a 4" grinder, hehe.

Lowes gave me a hard time today

CaptainSlow, with almost all corporate stores you just have to stay put until they make you happy. That being said I'd just file a complaint about it and you'll more than likely get a response that you'll like. I'm not saying it's good to be mean to those in customer service because I've dealt...

I vote leatherman or spyderco endura. Almost anyone can make good use out of a leatherman and spyderco has some pretty cool stamping options.
