I'm a Stanley Powerlock fan simply because of the durability. They aren't very expensive and yet they survive very large drops without many issues.

Some of those holders are pretty cool. I've been looking into the magnetic ones, but I'll only allow myself to buy a couple of those for my most common sockets, the rest will end up on something different. Thanks for listing everything so far, it gives me a bunch of stuff to go look at :)

I vote for buying older second hand craftsman.

It looks like an old tool used to remove and end cap from a hydraulic cylinder or something like that. lol.

In my experiences the newer ones are easier to break, making me feel less confident in them.

I've got more sockets than I really need and am having trouble storing them all without using rails. The Matco guy had some holders that used a bunch of drives on a little track that could hold them but I'd have to buy quite a few to store everything I've got. Right now they are kinda mixed...

I've noticed the same decline is quality. I have a ton of older -v- series craftsmans and they are 100% better than the newer stuff out there.
