    Air compressor question

Thanks all! Sounds like I should stick to spray paint/plasti-dip until I can upgrade the equipment or just pay to have it done. I appreciate the honest feedback! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Air compressor question

I’ve never airbrushed before, and was debating airbrushing v plasti-dip or rustoleum spray paint. If airbrushing isn’t an option I may roll the bed, just spray the other stuff, or vinyl wrap depending on the particular project. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Air compressor question

Greetings! I have what I hope is an easy question, but can’t seem to find a good primer (no pun intended) on the subject. I own a husky, 4 gallon, 125 max psi, 3.7 scfm at 90 psi. My goal is to be able to do some light paint spraying, ie auto trim, wheels, and maybe my truck bed (5.5’ long)...

My new garage (name coming soon, but for now, Shop 187!)

Thanks! I'll definitely look into that. I was already thinking about investing in an OBDII bluetooth adapter to get more data from the truck. My model doesn't have the DIC enabled, even though it reads like it should. :3gears: Thanks again!

My new garage (name coming soon, but for now, Shop 187!)

Greetings GJ! Sorry it’s been so long! Back with a few updates – some of which are garage related, some of which explain my long absence After my last post, the holiday break ended and both my wife and I started back to work, and in my particular business, January tends to be hectic so I...

    Help needed with wiring gremlins!

Ard, no worries! I think you are correct about the GFCIs, and I debated it at one point. The main reason I went this way was cost and the recommendation of the nice folks at City Electric Supply. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Help needed with wiring gremlins!

Greetings all! I'm working on my shop electrical, and successfully installed a 100A subpanel and wired 5 circuits. Circuits 1 and 2 are for the workbench circuits, Circuit 3 is for the table saw, Circuit 4 is for the Air Compressor and Circuit 5 is for the Shop Vac. Circuit 1 and 2 are the...

Manual for an old 12" Craftsman Drill Press

Jack, Thanks for chiming in. I found this online at Sears early on in my search - appears to be ~1981. I'll look into the dial indicator - thanks for the tip. I figured there might be a way to check this but was clueless as to where to start! I have to ask - what boots do you have that have...

Manual for an old 12" Craftsman Drill Press

6PT, thanks for the feedback again. I appreciate it! Here's some more pictures, and in the process of doing so, I think I found the wobble. I took video, but not sure of the best way to post it. Anyways, the wobble appears to have been coming from the stand. I stood on it...

Manual for an old 12" Craftsman Drill Press

Thanks for the suggestions! I tried Emerson and Sears - no luck there. Did you mean: http://vintagemachinery.org/mfgindex/detail.aspx?id=222&tab=3 No luck there and nothing on their forums, although I am going to post over there in hopes that I might get a hit. Thank you for your help :)

My new garage (name coming soon, but for now, Shop 187!)

Progress! Finally :) I finished the electrical - a few kinks to troubleshoot on one of the circuits, which I may post about later over in the electrical sub-forum, but it's otherwise finished! Got some of the tools, etc. put back in their temporary homes on the new bench area. Yesterday, while...

Manual for an old 12" Craftsman Drill Press

Greetings all, and happy new year! Just acquired an old craftsman drill press, model 113.213810 and was hoping someone might have ideas on helping find an old manual, and/or suggestions on refurbishing it. It is in good condition, but has a bit of wobble on the spindle and the plastic case is...

Sizing new power feed to small garage

I would suggest considering a 100A panel, assuming you have the space for a double-pole 100A breaker in your existing panel, and that won't overload it, per code, etc. Again - you'll only want to run it once, and power needs are probably only going up for the foreseeable future (more toys to...

My new garage (name coming soon, but for now, Shop 187!)

Terra, what a difference it will make! I oversized the sub-panel (24 circuits, 24 slots), but wanted room to hook stuff up. The house main is full anyways, so if I need to add anything else, good to have the extra room now. I've done a lot of outlet/switch/fan/light fixture installations, so...

My new garage (name coming soon, but for now, Shop 187!)

Thanks! I agree. They really spent too much time helping me. Fortunately it was a slow day, but I still really appreciated it. Turbo, thanks for the kind words as well! I'll try to keep it updated :) Shorty, thanks as well! I have spent a borderline obsessive amount of time planning it, but I...
