The $169 coupon that was posted is probably going to be your best bet. The coupon is good until mid-December, so if you can wait that long, you might as well... and see if it does go down to $149 on Black Friday.

I wheel my cart close to where I need my tools, so it's not too much effort to put them back each time. I will say, however, that if I know I'll need it again right away I will sometimes leave it out.

I can't remember the last time I paid more than $3 for an oil filter for our cars. I usually stock up when either Quaker State or Purolator Classic are on sale. Back when WM carried SuperTech, I could get them regularly priced for less than $3.

I was at WM over the weekend and checked out the oil filters. The "cheapo orange fram filter" runs about $5 at WM for my vehicles. Across the aisle, I noticed that the Purolator Classic for my vehicles is a buck or two cheaper. :dunno:

You're probably right. Plus, those same reported problems were from decades ago. There's a very good chance that the problems were related to a manufacturing defect that was corrected long ago. It's not like something like that doesn't happen from time-to-time (e.g. Audi, Toyota). I just...

Who cares if they look goofy... they're for safety. In any case, when wearing my glasses, I use one of two kinds... the lab style ones and the first one posted by Cameronl. Most of the time, I wear contacts and just wear regular safety glasses.

Exactly. I don't know why people would use Fram oil filters when there are less expensive ones available that are better quality. Heck, even the SuperTech filters that Walmart use to sell were better (and cheaper).

I think a laptop (or tablet) would be a great idea. I use mine very often when working in the garage for looking up microfiche or parts diagrams. If you do get a laptop, make sure to get a keyboard cover to keep debris from getting stuck between the keys.

The magnets seem to be glued pretty securely into the rails, and it doesn't seem like I'll be able to get them out without damaging the magnets. I stopped by HF today and purchased a couple sets of the rectangular magnets. They stick to the rails very well and none of the wrenches are sliding...

Thanks for the advice. I don't plan on putting a whole lot onto the lid... just a handful of open-ended wrenches and a couple of adjustable ones (basically the ones I use the most).
