What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Made a set of copper jaws for my Tradesman vise.

Which M18 impact wrench for on-road tire changes?

I have both M18 mid-torque and high-torque. The mid-torque is more than adequate for any passenger vehicle / light truck out there. That said, when I go on road trips I generally bring the high torque. It's heavy and unwieldy compared with the mid-torque but if I'm only changing one tire...

    Rag safety

^This is the way. OR spread them out and leave them in the sun away from anything combustible. Once they are dry and stiff they can go in the regular trash. I have been to a handful of house fires that were started with discarded oily rags. It still amazes me people don't know about this.

110 volt 60 gallon air compressor

If you're not painting and can take some breaks you can likely get by with a 30 gallon tank. There are many many options in that range. How difficult would it be to run 220V to your garage? In the long run that's the better solution, especially if you foresee a welder in your future.

    Milwaukee Power Tools Deal Permathread

Recently had a mid-torque I bought from Amazon repaired under warranty. Was a quick and painless process. Sure the warranty period is based off the build date but they are very clear about that. Maybe other people’s experience has been different but mine was good,

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

Can't say on the noise level as I haven't used the original. It doesn't strike me as being louder than any other fan of similar size/SCFM. It does not have a DC power hookup like the old one. It has male outlet prongs on the back that allow you to plug it directly into an extension cord. A...

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

Pulled the trigger on a M18 Packout fan. Been doing some EV outfitting lately and wiring interiors has been rough with the heat lately. Hoping this helps.

    Mitersaw for trim work

I would echo the recommendations for Dewalt or Bosch. I am a Milwaukee fan and have a corded Milwaukee 12" mitersaw and would have a hard time recommending it. Unless you need to capacity consider a 10" over a 12" as well. https://www.milwaukeetool.com/products/6950-20

    Milwaukee M18 jump pack

My understanding, albeit limited, is that power tool batteries were not designed to handle the rapid discharges needed for jump starting. Looks like Milwaukee worked around this by using capacitors. That will make the jump pack physically larger than your common Noco style. Still may be a...

Took about two weeks but the E-Rebates free M18 blower showed up a couple days ago. That thing has been handy as a shirt pocket ever since. Not sure how I got along without it :dunno:

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

For road trips in our previous truck (2012 Ram) we sat a Pelican 20 qt cooler in between the front 40/20/40 bench and back seats. It worked very well. Last year we bought a new 2024 Ram, this one was churched up a bit with a center console which has HVAC vents and USB charging ports. The...

The Milwaukee blower is nice if you're already heavy into the M18 system, but if not there are better options out there as you've found. I wanted it for blowing out the shop and clearing grass off the driveway after mowing if I'm crunched for time. Basically quick & dirty jobs that I don't...
