    Most of the byproducts from burning gas is water vapor. The first time you turn it on it starts to rust. Mostof the older systems had a nut on the thermocouple. Newer replacement have a spring clip nd reppace the nuts.

    Go to a Hearth shop. A place that sells wood stoves. They all have an Escalera. The Escalera climbs stairs piece of cake. I used to do those kind of moves for 50-100 bucks. Gun safes too.

    Theoldwizard was right on target when he said unvented gas puts moisture in the air. There are some pretty good direct vent bliueflame heaters available. Same goes for reznor style hanging vented furnaces. Put a 100 gallon tank behind the garage to run it.
