For 960 Sq Ft of VCT I spent just under $1000 three years ago. Then added a used high speed polisher for $250. The below photo is when the floor was 3 1/2 years old. If I was to do it over, I would look into black and white Porcelain tile. That said, I am very happy with the VCT.

Good deal. I would do the same but I bought a high speed buffer for my floor. If I epoxied the floor what would I do with the two hours every Sunday that I mop and buff the floor? :) Good luck with you project and keep us posted. :thumbup:

WOW...... that is an insane mark up for solid colors. I would never have thought that solid colors would be that much more. However, you may be better off with tiles with specks. The solid colors would look better when first installed, but over time the specks help hide dirt and other...

Heavy vehicles will not be a problem. I have a pickup truck that I park in the garage without issue. I have never had an issue with any tiles coming up after 3 1/2 years. Do it already!!!!

It has worn very well. But remember, this is what they put in supermarkets and they get tons of foot traffic. It is all about the upkeep. If you're will to put some effort into it, it will serve you well. Good luck and keep us posted.

That is a MEAN looking car. Nice. I bought the mirrors at Lowes. Custom ordered them. Figure about $150 for a 8 high 8 wide section. Easy install.

Prior to installing the floor, I would wash the cars in the garage to keep them out of the sun. Once I installed the VCT, this stopped. Besides that, I do brake jobs and other maintenance jobs. I have no issue with jacking up the cars up and putting them on jack stands. I will put down a...

I put down 960 square feet of VCT in my garage in December of 2007. It needed some freshing up so I stripped it and waxed it. LOVE the floor. I even bought a 2500 RPM high speed polisher just to keep it like a mirror.
