    Vise Info Thread

I already posted about this in the Main vise thread but figured it may be useful here aswell.... Found this Unmarked vise locally. Would like to know if anyone has any more info on it. So far I'm leaning towards it being a Utica vise. It seems most Utica vises are unmarked. (I've not come...

    The VISES of Garage Journal

Found this Unmarked vise locally. Would like to know if anyone has any more info on it. So far I'm leaning towards it being a Utica vise. It seems most Utica vises are unmarked. (I've not come across any other than a picture in an advertisement which has branding on the actual vise, but we're...

    Amazon Warehouse Deals

I got them... I've previously gotten Urrea and have been very happy with them....but not these. They are the worst looking North American made wrenches I've ever seen. The broach is very poor and uncentered, the edges are sharp and flaky. Forge hasn't been ground on some of them. The chrome...

Help ID Old Watch Makers Vise

Thanks for all the great replys! I'm told the Logo is for "Penn Tool Company" though my understanding is they are a resaler/retailer. Also I haven't found this logo elsewhere and I'm not sure how IPC or IP Co translates to Penn Tool but possible it was only purchased there

Help ID Old Watch Makers Vise

Acquired this little vise, it appears to allow items like wire to pass through the handle if held in the jaws. Does anyone know what this would be called or what this manufacturers mark is?

    HJorth Perfect Spring Winder

Does anyone have any experience with a HJorth "perfect" spring bender. It is said to be used in a Lathe or drill press or even by hand in a vise. Appears to make both compression and tension springs or custom sizes. I'm hoping to get some pictures of it in action soon.

Help Identifying Vintage Parts Cabinet Manufacturer

Recently picked up this big parts cabinet and would like to know who made it. From what I can tell it appears the handles are similar to that of Shaw Walker file cabinets I have but no clear identifier other than a Brass Tag which only has the numbers 559 It came out of a recently closed watch...

    Roof Truss Manufacturing Tolerance

I've had bad luck with trusses, seems they aren't as perfect as they should be. We worked it out in the field in each case but I would have thought they should be perfect. Worst we've run into is deviation from back chord to front (it was a square truss with parapet sticking up) up to 1-1/2"...

Any reproductions of the Eagle finger pump oil can?

Twooldvolvos, Have you come across any with the rectangular style trigger? I recently acquired this one in the picture and it does have a crimped base and the cap says "Eagle" but not "No. 66". And ofcourse the trigger is different

    Vintage oil cans

Can anyone tell me if the can on the right (See pics) is an actual Eagle 66? I have another eagle 66 which has the part number on the cap but this very similar can just has "eagle" Stamped. Also there are a few differences, crimped base, shorter, different trigger mechanism. The internals are...

Is there any GOOD way to store long-handled yard tools? (shovels, rakes, etc)

This has worked well for me, and is fully customizable!

Is there any GOOD way to store long-handled yard tools? (shovels, rakes, etc)

I bolted a 2x4 to the wall, and took 16" of threaded rod and bolted it through the 2x4 at an upward angle. Then you can drop your rakes, hoes, shovels etc on there. Keep in mind you need 2 threaded rods at about 4" apart to slide the tools on. I can get a picture later
