    Lowes Quincy Delima

Retrurn it, and move on. You are the customer, and they are just trying to put the burden on you. You will always have a sour taste in your mouth over this transaction. Even if you go through the steps to have it repaired locally yourself, your warranty is probably out the window. Make them...

    Calibrated tool craziness

You don't have to "calibrate" the stopwatch, just verify the error of the stopwatch. If you know the error rate of the instrument you are using, compared to a known standard, then in many cases all you need to do is document it. Bruce

    Calibrated tool craziness

As a metrologist in a previous life, I worked in a lab where we calibrated instruments for many big name companies. Our ISO9000 certification brought in a lot of business to our lab. Big money and you get to mess with a lot of cool equipment. Sure some of the calibrations seemed silly; tape...

TSP...Tri Sodium Phosphate, works wonders to remove soot and grime from walls and many other non porous surfaces. Find it at paint stores. Some stores won't sell it any more, but an internet search will help you find it. TSP replacement is not as good as the real stuff. Bruce

    Greetings from the Indiana Flatlands

Found this board recently. Hello to all, I have learned a few tricks already. I live in a house, in Fort Wayne, that has a basement garage that will fit six cars easily. We do a little auto repair, but mostly winter motorcycle tinkering. Looking forward to learning more here. Bruce aka Speleo
