Since we got on the topic of short tools, have any of you tripped over the short 7/16ths nugget hinged offset? Below you have the one most of us see, the 39985 standard hinged off set, and its much seldom seen brother, the 39984 short hinged offset.

It always amazes me where rare stuff turns up. The S stuff is really hard to come by these days. I have about a dozen or so random tools that came with other bulk buys. Hold on to that one if you're going to start abusing yourself with collecting them. It's a good start. lol

Yea, I was shocked to see that it retains almost every bit of crinkle paint on the exterior. Some basic and gentle cleaning will make it look brand new. Even the factory finish remains on a good portion of the puller arms. Very light rust clean up will be done on them as I use each pair.

I came across this pebble era heavy duty puller set. Given the condition, it appears that it was barely used. The good news is that it will see some regular use around here.

What are you trying to find out?

Vinegar is not an ideal choice. There are several other cheaper and better alternatives out there. I'd explore those and leave the vinegar in the kitchen.
