Anything better than a milk crate for standing on to reach deep under the hood?

This is a great solution. I have a couple of the Gorilla platforms. I like the 3' length. That allows me to move around without getting off and adjusting its position. Also, they are type 1A rated. The Gorilla is on special at the BORG for $40 each. I think that's a screaming deal.

    Hose reels that don’t ****

As far as I'm concerned, Reelcraft is the minimum acceptable quality hose reel. I prefer Hannay and Cox. All of my reels are Reelcraft. I got a great deal on them when I worked for a company that sold them. I've had them for over 20 years and they are still working great.

Things in your garage that you wish WEREN'T in your garage.

All the old water cooled VW parts are in the way. I really need to make them go away since I'm not building cars anymore. I really want the rim clamp tire machine out of my building. As far as I'm concerned, there is no reason to have one without a balancer. I'm storing it for a friend who...

    Old Industrial Locker/Cabinet

I would ask the neighbor to set a price. Everyone has a different perspective. What you believe is a fair offer may offend him. If he sets the price, there won't be any hard feelings. Wow, I just noticed this is post 1911 for me. What a great year thanks to John Browning!

The next improvement could be to use a couple of spring button pins to lock the handle in the open and closed positions.

mikez, we are having a difficult time understanding you. My wild *** guess translation is, "Is this chrome plater worth anything? I'm cleaning out a building that housed an old lipstick factory.". Is this correct? If so, we need more information. Can you provide a manufacturer's name and...

It's been a long time since I worked with a carburetor, but I have a few thoughts. First, I think you made a great choice in choosing a small displacement engine for a lightweight street rod. I'm it will work great once you get it dialed in. Buck the small block chevy trend. SBCs are like...

How do you store your tools, hitches, & ratchet straps in your truck?

Tools are in a cantilever toolbox. Ratchet straps are in a roto molded plastic box. It originally housed a set of gage pins. Cam buckle straps and bungee cords are in a padded nylon fabric pouch that in a previous life housed a portable printer. These all fit behind the seats in my standard...
