    Leaking CO2 valve to cylinder

As you suspect, it's the ball end of the regulator that does the actual sealing. Inspect it for dings, scratches and contamination. Inspect the seat on the tank side as well. If all looks good try tightening the nut finger tight and then rotating the regulator back and forth in the socket to...

Need some help - convection fan wiring for Powder coating oven

That was a good question. I was surprised at how well the powder adheres with just the residual charge. I actually dropped the rack that I had parts sitting on while transferring to the oven once and the parts were fine.

Need some help - convection fan wiring for Powder coating oven

I wouldn't want to hit the parts directly with a blow gun but gentle air movement through the cabinet will be fine. The powder sticks surprisingly well before it's cured.

Anyone have experience with this paint?

Yup. I designed and built it. It uses the cheap Chinese scales. I can't remember what I used for a microcontroller. I built it almost 20 years ago.

Anyone have experience with this paint?

I've used it for instrumentation cabinets. The only photo I have is this one of the plastic enclosure for the DRO on my lathe.

    1964 Skylark Restoration-Pitted Metal

🤣There is that. However, one of the reasons that I live in New Mexico is because nothing rusts. Up until 10 years ago I lived in Upstate NY where everything rust. Not that the cars I restored when I lived there ever saw bad weather. They were put away in the fall and pulled out in the spring...

    1964 Skylark Restoration-Pitted Metal

Both Randy and Robert have raised concerns legitimate concerns about using POR-15 which I recommended. Their work is amazing and they are both absolutely correct in that the optimal repair in this case is media blasting. However, I've used POR-15 multiple times over the years and never had a...

mcmaster- why does mcmaster never display the brand name for any tool or equipment

McMaster is an industrial supplier. In industry we want stuff that meets the specs. we want it now and we want it at a reasonable price. Some of us have COO requirements. Band name means nothing. In fact, in my current job at a national laboratory we can't spec specific brands.

Hanging TV on a plaster and lath wall

There's almost certainly a stud on each side of the arch. I'd screw a piece of plywood across the arch and attach the bracket to that.

What tool to drive tiny nails in this application?

I start them with a pair of needle nose pliers and and drive them home with a nail setter. If I can't get them to start with the pliers I pre-drill.

I leave mine wherever it needed to be for the last operation where it mattered until I setup for something else where it matters.

what duplicate items do you have scattered around your shop?

If a machine uses specific tools a lot I'll keep a duplicate near that machine. For example there's a 3/4" wrench next to both the lathe and the milling machine in addition to the one's in the tool boxes in the shop, house and race trailer.
