Seems that new conCrete would be easier. I know that on my last floor getting the oil up was a big job. I just really want a product that will stop oil stains and still look decent after several years. .....

getting ready to pour 2000 sf slab. I really liked the epoxy floor i had in my other shop but it was easy to chip. I am thinking of polishing the concrete and sealing it. I would like to hear from you guys on some alternatives to epoxy. The shop is generally used for auto restorations and does...

im going to put the regulator and filter as suggested above. I added 1 drop and ball valve. The first drop is going to just drain back to tank. While not a traditionally plummed aftercooler hopefully it will remove a bit of moisture before it heads to shop. If it doesnt work efficiently ill then...

just very small and occasional aerosols. To be honestI think it is just an offshore pump with not real great quality. Im thinking that dropping the temperature and moisture content it will make the job easier for the downline equipment. IE filters and refrigerated dryer. I believe the drier is a...

    cooling compressed air

I thought about putting it in line between pump and tank. Eventually however I'm going to fall heir to my dads compressor (an old world war 2 gas powered compressor) and I was going to put a t in the cooler to eventually add this compressor. I guess that could be a thread in itself. Would...

    cooling compressed air

I just did a quick sketch of how I intend to set up the cooling and filtering on my compressor. I am using a husky 6 hp 60 gallon compressor, 3/4 in. copper tubing, a coalescing filter followed by a refrigerated dryer. Ive been using the dryer for sometime and i rarely see any water in my air. I...

I have had my flooring down for about 8 months. No lifting or peeling I was worried about. I have a few chips here and there but I expected that. Gets some significant use. I love the fact that airhoses stay clean and being able to wipe up oil spills is awesome. Will report back at 1 year......Steve

    flooring advice

I asked him about the urethane with color packets and he said that urethane can tend to fisheye with the color packet. I am going to give it a while, maybe after the holidays before I do it. I want to make sure no other issues arise like lifting. Has anybody had any application or adhesion...

I do have one small problem I would like to eventually correct. During the original application I ruined a gallon kit and had to order one extra. The additional gallon is just enough darker to catch my eye. I do have a urethane clear topcoat. I am thinking of putting a pigmented urethane over...

Thanx for the reply. I did in fact screen it and it took care of the problem. I used a product called rhino tooth. I don't think it has sharp edges like sand, at least I hope not. While the job is not perfect for a diy job I give it a 7.5 or 8. I thank the guys at versatile building products...
