I have dupes sometimes because two is one and one is none. Other times it's because I find a great deal on a used tool only to find out I already have it. I may get fed up with a line of tools and upgrade to a better line. How ever I aquire dupes, they go to the bottom box and every six months...

Where is the online store? How are we supposed to actually buy damned things. I don't wanna call and email "your local distributor" to hear "we don't have that right now but I can order it in..." I just want to do a few clicks, throw down my credit card, and have it at my doorstep.

Not sure why we're arguing about shaft sizes, if you flip through any flavour of electric motor catalog (In our case single or three phase AC induction). They'll all love you take your dollar and sell you a motor with a variety of shaft size options. There is a common size no doubt in the 5HP...

So your induction motor smokes. If the reality is the windings are shot/shorting, all the OEM rebuild kits on the claim won't help yeah out. The motor shaft spins easily by hand right? Not dealing with rusty shot bearings from the camping trip outside? Smoke and ugly windings on the inside...

I find as I upgrade my tooling, the duplicates get thrown to the bottom drawer. Then once a year I donate the spare tools to the local highschool shop class. I much prefer donating them to a good cause than trying to wheel n deal with the general public.

For the record, I've never seen an Estwing hammer with a loose head. I'm a huge fan of the one piece construction, forged steel hammers.

I quite like the Estwing design. I'm yet to see one with a loose handle.
