    Concrete discounts

For a diy’er the price per yard would probably be the same if you ordered 20 or 200 yards, around here anyway. But it wouldn’t hurt to check around for the best quote. Make sure to ask about extra charges on top of what they quote per yard. In my area they add a fuel surcharge for every load...

    Few floor pictures

That kicks ***! Ha ha, I’d probably be afraid of doing something to f__k it up now :scared::scared:, would have to build another garage to use for working on projects without fear of damage to the floor. Great job!

    Foundation and floor slope questions

100% agree. No need for the expansion joint. If you'll be doing any fabrication work or wood work on the floor, keep the slope at the minimum in those areas. If you want to effectively drain water off the floor, go with 1/4" per foot.

    What constitutes vintage.

Definition #2 seems to fit about 75% of what’s for sale on CL around here. #7 is pretty good. :yikes::yikes:

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

If I remember right, Acme Tool was showing sometime around 1st of May to start shipping out the inflator. I missed the part about your tire losing the bead, the inflator wouldn't have worked for you in that situation. I really like the die grinder too, but yeah decided it was too costly...

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

Are you thinking about buying the M12 tire inflator when they come out? I have a small compressor but if it's needed anywhere other than the garage, it's a real pain in the ***. I preordered an inflator and if it's as good as what I've been seeing, my compressor won't see much use. Not only...

    Milwaukee 2782 metal cutting saw

I made the same purchase yesterday but I had to add 6% so Iowa could get their share. Still saved $30.

How hard should compacted gravel be?

Proof roll it. Is it possible to drive a heavy vehicle on the area in question? If you have good compaction there won't be any ruts.

How do i cut this rubber??????????????

We used to bolt rubber belting to the top lip of all our snow plows. The rolls of belting we used didn't have steel and were no more than 1/2" thick x 12" wide. I always used a skill saw. Made easy work of what I had to cut.

Does a low battery effect power on cordless tools?

I think it depends on the tool and what its being used for. I can only speak of my experience with the tools I own. Everything I own is Milwaukee M18 Fuel and the batteries range from high demand 9.0Ah to XC 4.0Ah. I don't think the batteries have any effect on the tools performance, just...

Lost the Keys to My Toolbox

I can relate to a weeks accumulation of mail before going through it, mainly because the mailbox only gets checked once a week. Lol. I don't loose keys often but when I have lost them I do a good job. Found them in the refrigerator on one occasion and, after searching every room in the house...

    Setting grade for pole barn

machsnell that was a mighty fine explanation for establishing grade. OP if you follow those steps you"ll be in good shape. Working with 10ths or 100ths of a foot is a lot easier than fractions, but it can be confusing at first. I usually do 4 ft offsets if there's room, just what I'm used to.

Bolt issue with concrete and securing Auto Lift

You fill the hole with epoxy, then push the bolt in. The diameter of the hole should be 1/8" bigger than the bolt.

Bolt issue with concrete and securing Auto Lift

I'm guessing the OP is in a heated shop or garage. If not, epoxy designed for cold weather is available. I just looked at a cartridge of fast cure epoxy that reads "Application Temperature: 15°F through -95°F. I work for a paving contractor, on a crew that does hand work (cul-de-sacs...

    Concrete in Lean-to

Even with just a small lawn tractor, or foot traffic for that matter, I doubt 2" would last very long. Other than the thickness, your plan sounds reasonable if you know what you're doing. You will want air-entrained concrete to protect the surface from damage from freeze thaw cycles and de-icing...
