    I'm also an electrician by trade (45+ years worth) You don't need a Kellems grip. A gland type cord connector qualifies a a strain relief and is much less expensive.

    Any switching between the VFD and the motor will cause damage to the output transistors of the VFD. Repeated switching will cause premature failure of the VFD.

    Home inspectors can just "suggest" things. They have no enforcement power. They're notoriously weak on electrical and are wrong most of the time (they often suggest calling a qualified electrician to verify their claims).

    UL list these as "relocatable power taps" It is to be plugged into a permanent outlet only, cannot be daisy chained or permanent attached (hence the keyhole slots on the back) so extension cords are out.

    When I think of conduit = galvanized rigid metal conduit. EMT is tubing, hence the name electrical metal tubing.

    The free channels have the same amount or commercials (or less than) the original broadcasts. The starting and ending times for most TV shows keep the original times (30 min, 60 min, etc) and include all the content. In some cases it's shorter (28 min, 57 min, etc.) Never longer.

    Fixed in place electric heater must be figured at 125% for wire and breaker sizing purposes. 25x1.25=31.25 #8 copper wire with a 35 or 40A circuit breaker (each). You can just terminate it in a box with the wires capped off.

    I've got a Roku. It cost me about $30, and hooks up via my wireless connection. I've got well in excess of 2000 channels.
