SK magnetic bit socket not strong enough

Heck yes you're expecting too much!! Don't think the SK bit socket has a magnet! It's a bit holder not a screw holder! http://www.skhandtool.com/bit-sockets/44498.aspx

What type of rope for a swing

Use a twisted nylon rope 5/8" or larger... Don't wrap it around your willie! Poly won't knot. Manila and sisal will deteriorate.

    Wilton BASH Sledge Hammer

Don't forget about Vaughan. They have reworked their fiberglass handles to be similar to the Wilton. 8 lb x 36" should retail for around $40. Vaughan's heads are made in India, but the handles are made in the USA. You're gonna be hard pressed to find a sledge made 100% here in the US. *****!

    Facom ratchet apart

Ideal Industries now owns SK Hand Tool. They also own Western Forge, and Pratt Read screwdrivers. They make 80% of the made in USA screwdrivers and adjustable wrenches out there. That Facom deal went away back in '08 or '09 and now I believe Stanley / Black and Decker owns Facom.

Novice Drill and Drill bit advice?

Any manufacture can make a gold drill, it's really the heat treatment that counts. Titanium nitride dipped is actually better for stringy materials like aluminum, fiberglass, plastics and wood. The gold I think you're talking about is like what's on Norseman's 190-AG series. That is a Nitro...
