    Let's see your toolbox.

Guess I'm showing my age ( or my tools are hahaha) But that's what sockets came in long ago before the plastic trays they come in now, the 4 red ones are Mac, one other is Wright and I think at least two are Matco and the rest are Snap On

    KR537D resto help

This is the lock plate and bars, I gave up trying to find that hinge long ago. I don't have a key but I could be talked out of the whole assembly if you can't find one.

If you could only have one fine toothed ratchet (3/8 or 1/4?)

Since high tooth count ratchets shine in low clearance situations and I was only picking one drive size it would be 3/8". 1/4" ratchets are naturally smaller than 3/8" so they'll fit in confined areas the majority of the time. Believe the average mechanic would benefit more from having fine...

Ok, honest question: How is SnapOn Ratchet any better than C-man or HF caliber?

Reading through this thread I've seen some crazy prices thrown around regarding the prices of Snap On ratchets. The F80 lists for 104.95 on the Snap On website, and nice used ones can be found on ebay everyday for right around $60. Not a lot of money for what you're getting.

Ok, honest question: How is SnapOn Ratchet any better than C-man or HF caliber?

Using this theory there would be no use for Sub- Zero refrigerators, Cadillacs or Lincolns, hell use a bucket and brush, why get a Safety Kleen or Justrite parts washer. High end products are that for a reason, there's a need. They've proven themselves to be better. And really Snap On ratchets...

    3/8 Drive in 1/4" Body Experiences & Thoughts ?

Use the flex head for removing the right rear spark plug on older RWD Cadillacs. 1/4" drive with an adapter is to long but that ratchet with a standard spark plug socket is perfect. Just one example but once you have them you'll find many uses for them

    3/8 Drive in 1/4" Body Experiences & Thoughts ?

Have two Snap On and a Wright 3/8" in 1/4" bodies, also have two 1/2" in 3/8" bodies, use them all

    Gearwrench sockets!

Majority of my sockets are truck brand with a few Proto, Wright and USA Williams mixed in, but I have Gearwrench in semi deep, shallow and deep impacts in 1/4" drive. No complaints at all
