KABO COMPILATION: spline extra long flex ratcheting double box wrench

I have a set of these little Cornwells that come in handy in tight spaces where a full hand doesn’t fit. I think BluePoint did/does have them too. crw810msf

    This is some scary stuff

He has a return address listed so I looked it up. Not the greatest part of town. Few months back I had a bum come up to me near there while I was pumping gas. He asked if I wanted to play him in rock/paper/scissors for $1. Should have given him the dollar for creativity.

Power drawer for non snap On boxes

The small size is about 2.5” ID and round. The large size is about 3.25” ID and more of a square with rounded corners. Examples of what works for me: M12 stubby impact = large M12 impact driver and 1/2” hammer drill (2504-29) = small Astro nano impact = small (with heat gun to make small...

What do we think about Cornwell ratcheting wrenches?

I have the double flex and they seem to be what I gravitate to when I need a ratcheting wrench. They have the sealed brass screw which I think is the Kabo design.

Socket extensions - any quality differences

Here is a visual to show the difference between aligned and not. When aligned the ratchet will be parallel to the fastener you are trying to move. If the ends aren't aligned the ratchet will not be parallel and you won's be able to turn the fastener. Pictures below - Snap On = aligned and Mac...

    Surprisingly disappointed by Zoro Sale

I think Zoro‘s golden days have passed, but I still have a hard time find anything Proto cheaper anywhere else (after the fairly regular 20% off coupons). Other things are hit or miss like the rest of the internet.

    Cordless tool battery life

80% charge seems to be around the ideal if you want them to last as long as possible. There’s a lot of information out there about lithium battery life, but here is some I found quickly. https://news.umich.edu/tips-for-extending-the-lifetime-of-lithium-ion-batteries/

    Rebuilt floor jack - leaking

I did a ya642 a few months back and I used Hylomar Blue for sealant. I also torqued the nut back to 400 or more ft/lbs like it was when I started.

They have some double flex ratcheting wrenches that come in handy. They also have some stubby flex ratcheting wrenches that are good for tight areas.

depressing ball when re-assembling ratchet tool

I also try to use 1 or 2 gallon ziplock bags when dealing with small springy bits if possible. I learned that after a misadventure with a RHFT ball bearing that I spent way too long looking for.

Socket extensions - any quality differences

If you ever want to use something like the Snap On FZ1 it seems that Snap On is the only maker that consistently keeps the male and female end of the extension oriented to each other. I have a wide variety of makers and the rest are all hit or miss on orientation.

    Flex head cordless ratchet

I understand that you have to make a bend, but it’s just a spinning shaft. Rear wheel drive cars have u-joints. Then there is a wobble extension design as well as pinned and pinless impact sockets. I would think there would be a way to allow a small amount of flex. This question came to me when...

    Flex head cordless ratchet

Why doesn’t anyone make a flex head cordless ratchet? It wouldn’t even have to flex too much, something like a flex head torque wrench. Sometimes having 10 - 15 degrees of flex would be all that is needed to get into a tight spot.
