How Do You Store Your Ready To Use Power/Battery Tools

Snap On makes a power drawer and myself and others have copied the general idea. Here is a thread with pictures and part numbers. https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/threads/power-drawer-for-non-snap-on-boxes.351706/

    Proto Toolboxes

Pretend the mess doesn’t exist. I like my Protos and I’ve had them starting about 8 years ago and slowly adding. When I bought the blue ones 3 years back I checked harbor freight, HD, Lowe’s and Sears to compare. I stuck with the Proto since they seemed better built and sturdier than the other...

Power drawer for non snap On boxes

I had someone send me a PM asking for part numbers and looking back at this I noticed they weren't included so now they will be. Small holster = 1098APA02 Large holster = 1098APA03 M12 stubby impact needs a large. CP7732 (8941077320) 1/2" compact impact uses a small. Astro Nano 1828 impact...

"52yr Tool Collection worth $60,000 for only $30,000"

I just put the eBay listing on my watchlist out of curiosity to see what happens with it. 10 minutes later they sent me an offer of 55k. That’s 20k off so I guess I have to take it.

    Enough for 1/2"impact?

One thing to notice is the 100% duty cycle. The compressor experts can jump in, but from my understanding you could run that thing non-stop. Many other small compressors have duty cycles that require something like 5 mins on 5 mins off. Makita mac700 page 7. 50% duty cycle...

    11/32 3/8 drive sockets

#8 nuts are 11/32 https://www.boltdepot.com/fastener-information/Nuts-Washers/US-Nut-Dimensions.aspx I’ve seen that size in electrical related areas. 3/8 drive seems unnecessary as you would usually want 1/4” drive for access.

PALMAC anyone bought tools from them?

I’ve bought from them once without issue. If you look at their address they are at the same place as Koken USA just a different unit number.

Reelcraft, Coxreel or other, which is best

I have a Cox electric cord reel in my garage. I like it and have had no issues. I agree that it seems easier to find a good price on the Cox stuff.

    Show your Armstrong tools

Once I went to take pictures I realized I had more Armstrong stuff than I thought. Ratcheting wrenches 11/32 - 15/16 (a few Matco's in sizes that Armstrong didn't have) Ratcheting Wrenches 10 - 19 and 21, 24 (same as above with Matco's) Speed wrenches - 10 - 19 (rarely used, but handy for...

    Thin Head wrenches

I have the Facom thin wrenches I bought from Zoro about 5 years ago. Maybe they changed, but these are what mine measure for thickness. 8x9 and 10x11 = .100 (2.54 mm) 12x13 and 14x15 = .138 (3.5 mm) 16x17 and 18x19 = .172 (4.12 mm)

the Nepros brand hand tool thread

I recently bought a NBRC390 (3/8" in 1/4" body). Here are the dimensions: Gear = .667 D x .233 thick (#2 in pic) Locating shoulder on back of ratchet = .383 D and .070 from face of gear (#1 in pic) Anvil side shoulder = .521 D It looks to me that as long #1 and #2 are the same size you should...

    Matco Infinium ratchet head reassembly

To answer my own question in case anyone else stumbles on this. The wave washers have to be placed crest to trough. I had a hard time keeping things aligned so I used a little drop of super glue to connect the 2 washers and keep them aligned with each other. When in use the washers don’t rotate...

    Matco Infinium ratchet head reassembly

I bought a used long neck Matco Infinium 3/8" ratchet. It worked perfect out of the box, but it was dirty so of course I took the head apart to clean it and grease it. Now I can't get it working again. There are 2 wavy washer springs that should be putting pressure on the anvil piece and it's...

Source for Facom in the USA?

I’ve had good luck with Ultimate garage and I also just bought some oddball stuff (Facom rotator bit ratchet) from Mister Worker. It was 8 calendar days from Italy to AZ on stuff that was advertised as shipping in 4-5 days. Tracking showed it left Italy on Thursday and it was is my hands at...
