I’m interested in hearing about those 35070 pliers as well. After using the remote cable hose clamp pliers I can see the great advantage of locking the tab open so you have more hand position options. BTW the cable hose clamp pliers are a life changer!
I checked a variety of 1/4”, 3/8” and 1/2” sockets in chrome and impact from multiple makers. They are in the .400 - .450” range above the bottom of the rail.
Vim also has some rails and studs on their site. Might be a worthwhile add on when ordering hot deals items...
I'm going to answer my own question in case anyone needs this for future reference.
The 1/4" anvil was .535 inches and the new 3/8" anvil was .580. So .045 needs to be removed. The area being removed is thin and it goes fast so be careful. I put mine in a drill and carefully put it onto a belt...
Does anyone know how the selector switch is removed? I bought this and I am going to try it in my 1/4" extended reach ratchet.
I need to shorten the 3/8 anvil and it seems best to remove the switch first. Maybe the clues are in the first picture which is missing?
I see they make a version you hit with a hammer as well. Anyone have an opinion on the advantage of one over the other? Which would remove the tighter bolt?
I just did one on an Odyssey with a 3.5. Used a Chicago Pnuematic CP7748 and the Lisle socket. 125 PSI and it came right off. Compressor didn’t even kick on. Kind of anti-climactic considering all I’ve read about them.
Does anyone know if excluded brands count against the min purchase on the coupons? For example Milwaukee is excluded from discounts, but if you buy $100 worth of Milwaukee does it count as $100 or as $0 on a 20% off $200 coupon?
I built my own using the Snap On plastic holsters. I used 18 ga steel and bent it to fit my drawer. I used 1/2" hems along all edges for stiffness and to get rid of any sharp edges where a hand or tool might be. It's not a "power" drawer as I don't have any charging capabilities, but for me it's...
I use the 3/8" keystock, but I have the ends sitting on rectangular magnets so the crowsfeet stand up and take less space. I also wrapped the magnets it red and blue electrical tape so it matches the system I use for sockets.
If I have to get one from the middle I do have to slide a bunch off...
If these type of people were serious they could at least spend a few hours cleaning up and kind of organizing things. For example I don’t need to see a drawer with 50 different clumps of wire. It also doesn’t help when they show socket organizers with half the stuff missing.
I'm slowly in the process of making my own "power drawer" by bending up some 18 gauge steel and using the Snap On plastic holsters. The small holsters are 1098APA02 and the large are 1098APA03. I've divided my automotive and household tools into different storage locations. This is only for the...
