    Powr Kraft COO?

Yes, the part numbers are stamped on the handles, however the part numbers are different between the short and long-handled 1/2-drive ratchets. The short are 4860, long are 4862. UAIU, I'll send you a PM about the ratchet. I'd be willing to part with one of the long-handled ones.

Postscript: I opened up the hand drill, and it is indeed designed as such, it has an intricate and well-built gear setup in there, along with a good packing of bearing grease, there is no way this thing could have originally been anything other than a hand drill. That being said, it's still a...

    Powr Kraft COO?

I took a few pics of what I got in the lot I purchased. Includes a pair of each: 3/8 drive ratchet, 1/2 drive ratchet, and long-handled 1/2 drive ratchets. His and her set, if you will. Also have a bunch of sockets. The ratchets remind me of Wright tootsie-roll-handled ratchets. All of...

    Powr Kraft COO?

Powr Kraft used to be a homeowner-grade brand of tools marketed by Montgomery Ward. I recently got a small lot of PK tools in new condition, probably 1970s manufacture, however I notice that none of them seem to have the country of origin stamped on the tools. I assume it was printed on the...

    2017 Garage Sale Thread

Had a productive weekend at the fleas and garage sales! 1 - lot of Craftsman stuff: long-C breaker bar, 1/4-drive ratchet, set of 9 vintage number stamps in a wooden box (not sure if the box is originally Craftsman), 2 DOE wrenches, a 1/2-drive extension, and a total of 21 sockets from...

    Anybody else into Harrold Tools?

Found this in with my vintage tool stash. Small slip-joint, angled head pliers. Very simple but well made.

Anyone know who made this vise it is marked 34.

Don't quote me on this, but I've seen a similar type of vise made by the Cole Tool Co. The one I saw looked quite a bit heavier than that one, though.

    2017 Epstein's Day?

I'm in this year - the missus gave me permission to use the credit card so I'll be blowing a couple hundred on new toys for the toolbox!

I believe the ********* box's tag says "DECODER, VIDEO, KY-118/GPX". If my eyes are sharp enough to see that and I'm right, that's part of an old military radar set.

Also got this single barrel carb at a flea market - cost was $5. Not sure what it's original vehicle was meant to be, its last patent date put the carb at a 1941 as it's earliest possible use.

This past weekend I was only able to stop at a couple garage sales, but I stocked up on small doo-dads of a vintage nature there. Always things I can use or fidget with! Cost was $10 for everything.

cleaning up cadmium wrenches without killing myself

Okay, I know all about cadmium wrenches and how you're not supposed to wire brush them or otherwise make cadmium dust, very VERY bad. So that being said, how do you guys recommend cleaning up cadmium wrenches with lots of dirt and grime, would a light brass or nylon brush be okay under running...
