A local guy has a NOS SO 1/4" micrometer torque wrench for sale, I was thinking about picking it up from him. The calibration date is mid 2000's, would this be ok to put into service or would it be best to calibrate first?

Cool old ratchet! The handle shape is just like the current USA Williams offerings.

They don't make them in the dual80 series. I really wish they would start making them. Seems to me like it would be pretty easy for them to produce them again.

I'd rather pick up the cobras, they aren't priced much higher than the alligators.

Personally, I try to avoid China if I can. This is not always possible, especially with some specialty items that only one company makes.

It could just be a drag mark from the broach when the open end was cut.
