Yeah, I built one. Bought a resevoir, pump, flexible delivery spout with magnetic base, and water based cutting fluid from the ENCO catalog. I have a real metalworking drillpress with collection channels and one hole to drain the fluid back to the resevoir. Straight forward, anyone can do it.

You should have a physical disconnect, not just valving, or heaven forbid only a check valve. It is best to always assume a check valve will not work, then design your piping accordingly. Unless you are willing to drink your pond water, don't hard pipe it to your drinking water pump.

Plumb up a horizontal run of pipe you pump the grease into. It will stay in that horizontal run and not fall into the tank.

I use a utility knife to cut the boxes down into flat panels that fit into our city supplied 100 gallon recycling bin. It's amazing how big a pile of cardboard boxes will fit in that bit. That is probably more labor intensive than you are looking for, but it works for me.
