You're right and that's about what I'll do. Just seemed so odd to make something like that and skimp on the handle. Probably cuts down more on shipping (size) costs than mfg. costs. And yes, this thread will cost you...but in a good way.

Well, I certainly hope it lasts longer than that. If not, I'll replace it via the lifetime warranty (which surprisingly covers the whole set). Not something I want to be bothered with but will do if necessary. It strikes me as a well made piece but...yes...one that has a finite amount of uses...
