    Shrinker/Stretcher set....Harbor Freight or Eastwood

I posted in the HF pass/fail thread and didn't get any responses.....I'm looking for a Shrinker/Stretcher set for home use and HF seems to have the same body as the Eastwood set but it $100 cheaper. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with the HF set (or Eastwood) and if it's worth...

    Matco experts... Need some assistance

I acquired this Matco strap many years ago from a retiring bodyman. I believe it is a fender strap which is used to roll the tops of fenders and quarter panels back into place after a hit. The strap itself is very rigid and appears to be sort of plastic coated. I can't seem to find any part...

    Snap On KR-558C clean up/question

I picked up this Snap On KR-558C Friday morning. It's in great shape and just needs a clean up. I took the drawers out this morning and noticed that the top two drawer slides are broken-the spring steel drawer keepers that are riveted on to keep the slides inside the box are broken and missing...

    Huot Bottom Roller Box-Need assistance

I dragged this old Huot box home today from a yard sale for $10. I didn't need it but I couldn't leave it there for that price. Does anyone know the model # or name for this particular box? Also, I am having issues taking the lower bigger drawers out. I was able to get the top drawers out but...

Let's play a game called "Name that NOS Auto Part!"

My uncle dropped off a box of old NOS parts he had laying around a few years ago and I'm just getting around to going through them. These were out of the box. Any idea what they are? The Motorcraft part appears to be for a carburetor set up.

    Vintage SK tool box

I grabbed this at a yard sale last year. I liked the logo and thought I might have a use for it but I know longer do, so I'm looking to flip it. Anyone have an idea of its value or vintage? The logo is nice and it has the accessory tray. The center hasp appears non-original.

Metal fab/Auto Body metal guys....where can I get this tool?

I saw these bulls eye pliers on a Facebook video and can't seem to find them anywhere. I inquired about them on the posting but it's foreign and I never heard back. I already have the larger bulls eye picks but these look really handy for smaller applications. Anyone know where I can get these?

Lisle Tools # 44500-What's it for?

I always scan Ebay for certain brand tools and came across this Lisle tool. It's listed as a welding clamp #44500. I searched the Google and came up with a different tool (hose clamp tool) for # 44500. Anyone have any idea if this is a welding clamp or what it's for if not...

Snap On/AJ Manufacturing- good customer service

I have a door and trunk lock reforming tool (Blue point/Snap On Ya610a) that I got in a load of tools a few years ago. Being OCD, I was looking to get the instruction sheet for it so I know what applications it's good for. I contacted Snap On and while I received an immediate answer, I was told...

KD Tools No. 140-what is it used for?

I got this KD Tools No. 140 in a lot of tools a few years back. It looks like a battery clamp/pick up tool to me but any searches also show possibility as a welding or auto body clamp. Just seeing if anyone has an old KD catalog or any knowledge of it. Here's a photo of two from Ebay. Thanks.

Looking for a book on automotive wiring

Left hand thread tap and die set-Has anyone ever had the need for one?

A guy at work asked me for some help with a stripped thread on a part for his tractor. I brought it home and figured I could tap it and be done. Well it's a left hand thread and in all my years I have never had the need for a left hand thread tap and die set. I called my other friend who has...

Need air compressor help-moisture in the air hose

I have a 60 gallon Ingersoll Rand SS5 compressor, RTI filter, and Flexzilla air reel/hose. I understand that compressed air gets warm and creates moisture. I also believe I understand that there should be more air line between the compressor and my air hose but I am not exactly sure how to go...

True Craft Tools Spline Drive Ratchet Sets-Anyone ever seen these?

I picked up the 1/4" drive set a few years back because I had never seen it before. I got it cheap in a lot of other tools so it wasn't a big deal. I went to a tool sale the other day and the guy had the 3/8" set so I had to have it and grabbed it up. I did some searching and can't seem to find...

Craftsman shop vac just took a dump. What should I get?

My Craftsman 5.0 hp 12 gallon wet/dry vac just burned up on me. The motor bearing went and no replacement motors are available. I'm looking for a decent vacuum that hopefully doesn't take up too much space as I was always tripping over this one. I've considered a wall mount but I'm not sure I...

    Restored a 3M Masking Machine

I cleaned out a body shop last fall and snagged this off the wall before I left. I broke it down and cleaned it up/painted it and had @mattblast make me a new decal. It came out great. The only thing I can't seem to figure out is whether or not it was intended to be a wall hanger or not because...
