How To Remove Double Wire Hose Clamps?

Did you go back with a different style?

How To Remove Double Wire Hose Clamps?

Alright, Jrad, you are VERY close to winning the internet... So that tiny little washer at the bottom of the screw, it always stays in the same position, and can never move "higher or lower", thus it is what presses down on the "closed loop" and does the tightening? And to oversimplify things...

How To Remove Double Wire Hose Clamps?

Alrighty, what is the way to expand these boogers once the screw is loosened? (Bonus points if anyone can explain how they work, as the design seems "opposite" of how I would expect them to work!)

    Improving drawers/slides in Craftsman Box?

Solved, overthinking things again...just needed to pry the rear of the slide OUTWARD to create space, instead of up or down...

    Improving drawers/slides in Craftsman Box?

Alrighty, any tips/tricks on how to get this ball bearing slide thingy reinstalled (lower one is already in fully)? Running out of ideas, I've tried (with no success): - a plastic scraper as a pry bar - a small spreader to expand the channels - profanity haven't tried any sort of screwdriver...

    Buying a socket at Lowe's - Rant

(Just purchased a socket from Lowe's online, $9 + tax only, I think they have some kinda free shipping promo going on right now.)

Grease Gun Storage Help - Leaks

Haha, I think I get the gist, the idea is less (none?) of the grease will leak from the "top" of the gun versus the bottom? I could put it in a plastic bag upside down and get the same results?

Grease Gun Storage Help - Leaks

I literally just sort of did that, minus the heat forming! So the consensus is, they are gonna leak, it's just finding a contraption to contain the leak/keep it off other stuff?

What style is this ratchet? (looking for a clone)

Ok, ok, I'll say what you are all thinking: "They are both throwaway ratchets."

What style is this ratchet? (looking for a clone)

Bought the WORKPRO version because it was on "sale", and specs showed 7-3/4”. It's nearly identical to the PRO-GRADE, but better. The direction lever feels more solid on the WP. I put a magnet to both levers, they are both metal, but the PG feels so flimsy/had so little magnetic attraction that...

    Improving drawers/slides in Craftsman Box?

Agreed, seems like a bad design from the start. Plus there is only one rivet per slide. Room for two on the slides, but only one matching, factory-drilled hole on the chest. I don't plan to have THAT much weight in the drawers to go to the trouble (i.e. now you've made things worse!) of drilling...

    Improving drawers/slides in Craftsman Box?

Ok, update/vent time...(I got the drawer/slide installed) - the 5/32 [rivet diameter] arrived, test fit it, all is well - placed the 5/32 [rivet diameter] rivet into the new (craftsman) rivet gun, in the nosepiece* marked "5/32" - went to rivet the slide and the O.D. of the nosepiece* is too...

    Orange Peel/Poor Adhesion (Spray Can)

Both scenarios make sense, and both have equal weights of annoyance! 😁 But I'm "enjoying" the journey now, and will enjoy the destination once I (hopefully) get there!

    Improving drawers/slides in Craftsman Box?

Good point! I should also "point" out that 3/16 is the diameter of the hole in the slide, but the cabinet itself's holes are 5/32! Thanks to amazon and my impatience, they should arrive tomorrow!

Shame on you! Go with your "just in case this guy doesn't know what he's talking about..." gut next time! 😁

Which one of these ratchet pawl designs is superior?

Tacking on here (and before I get to messing things up), this style of pawl (my pic), is the "pin" part of the lever, or is it machined into the pawl (web pic)? (Should I be able to use a punch on that shiny portion to drive the lever out?)
