I noticed a couple weeks ago that BOTH cables on one of my overhead doors....the 9' x 8' door...were fraying....so I changed both of 'em…….glad I did...I'd hate to have any door come slamming down on someone or my cars!! I took my time adjusting it, and it works better than it ever has! ALWAYS...

My torsion springs were rubbing the coils against each other, causing noise....I lowered the door & put some gear lube on the coils, and NO more noise, and the door worked smoother as well.....Quiet doors are great, except for the group "The DOORS"...they HAFTA be LOUD!! ("Doncha' love her...

Any door can be raised higher......by adding a section of the square tubing and the chain that work together to raise the door, the door CAN be raised....you might hafta move the opener back a bit as well....
