    Scotty's Garage II

Here's how it looks after two weeks. I'm going to give it one more coat before I call it done. Looks pretty good but I reckon one more coat will look awesome. Hopefully this stuff works as advertised, I'm not really going to be driving on it but I will be pushing cars on it and working on it...

    Scotty's Garage II

So I've been a bit quiet but slowly getting stuff done in the shed. First job was moving everything out of the back section to the front so I could paint the floor. Then I shortened some of the internal walls to give me more space in the main workshop area. And removed the glass...

    Etching concrete indoors

Got an odd job to do. My garage doesn't have a roller door yet and I want to etch the concrete floor. Trouble is I've got no way of washing the etching solution out of the garage. Any suggestions? Or should I just hit it with a hose and mop it up as quick as I can.

Yeah that sink and mirror is definitely going. Wife has me painting some rooms in the house first, then I can attack the garage

Shepparton is almost Street Machine heartland. We make a couple trips there every year. We know a few of the local lunatics up there.

    Scotty's Garage II

So that's what I've got to work with, and I'm pretty happy with it overall. But it has a couple issues to deal with. Firstly I can't put any cars in it as it currently sits, nor is it high enough for a hoist. I've also got to seal the floo hole in the roof from the potbelly stove that the...

The back section. Not sure what I'll do with this yet. Maybe put my tool cupboards in here. Or maybe I'll take out the wall and open the centre section up. Looking straight back into the area. Here's what is behind the wall. Behind it all there's another section I'm calling the paint shed...

Now the side section. I reckon this might end up being the workshop/tool zone. It's already got a pretty good bench and boards for hanging tools. The bench area Opposite the bench area. I'll probably line this wall, not sure with what just yet.

    Scotty's Garage II

I'm posting this using my phone so I apologise for the multiple posts, I don't want to write a massive post and have it all disappear on me. The centre section has already been given a rustic look with rusty corrugated iron used throughout. There's a couple benches already and I might use them...

My boss Telf loves it over there, I'm on the other side of Melbourne but yeah I'd love to check out your setup. I'll have to check up on your thread to see where you got up to.

I'm still deciding what to do inside. The shed layout has the potential to be an awesome mancave. There's four different sections in the shed; the front section, the centre, the back and the side, plus a toilet. Here's the front section. Looking back out the front. The right hand wall...

    Scotty's Garage II

Around two years ago I got a job offer to move to Melbourne and join the magazine where I was freelancing full time. It was an attractive offer on several levels because my daughter just about to start high school, my son would be closer to the Royal Children's Hospital (he has Cerebral Palsy)...

Scotty's Garage refurbishment - 1700sq/ft of Aussie Mancave

Been a while since I've posted because there's been alot going on. I got a job offer to move to Melbourne and we decided it was a good move for the family. It meant giving up my garage though. It's all bad though. My father-in-law has bought the house so the shed is still in the family. I'll...
