It does absorb quite a bit. One of the reason, and perhaps the main one is the mass of the 'cradle' absorbing some of the energy. Ideally it should be as light as possible. Another factor is stiffness, this one is pretty stiff, but probably weighs 4-5 lb. I haven't experimented with this design...

These are not designed for max torque, (quite possibly just up to some DIN standard) but more for access where they shine. Just compare the size of the open end to the other wrenches in the video or your collection. I could be wrong but I think the Stahlwille 14 series goes back to around 1970...

For the above group I think this vise needs more throat depth. What's the point of having super strong vise with great clamping force if you can't clamp on bigger parts.

Solved this problem years ago with 3/4" digital torque adapter -1000Nm. I might change my mind if I had to use it daily or more and buy torque wrench. I doubt it though. These digital torque adaptors are great tools and underrated here on G.J.

Thanks for the pics. I have a minor quibble. Wiha is premium brand when it comes to hex keys. They are about as strong and durable as they come.
