Air Hose Restrictions: The Elephant in the Room?

This has been my experience with my nailers, the floor nailer wants to see 80psi maybe 90 on the high side with some volume to back it up. My finish nailers want higher pressure 100-120psi and next to no volume behind them. Im currently running my floor nailer off of a 70ft or so 1/4" line...

Ever find your self constantly going to the same tool no matter how many you have?

I've got a old compo-cast 21oz deadblow that I reach for 90% of the time when I need a hammer. Even if its not the correct hammer for the job I just love how that hammer feels. Silly I guess, considering its one of 20 or so hammers in my drawer.

    First Big Estate Sale Buy...

Spent 600 today, walked out with some SO ratcheting wrenches and two snappy combo wrenches. Of course the wrenches were free with the purchase of allegedly 1000sqft of oak flooring, I guesstimated it at 700ish sqft. Anyone out there got a nifty way to estimate or a certain rule of thumb? One of...

Different strokes for different folks, I hate the chunky handles because I tend to choke up on the grip or hold them like pencils when trying to remove something. The small handle makes it less obtrusive to me, of course I did loctite the shafts as stated above and in two cases swapped new...

    channellock at walmart

Thats great to hear! Good to see channellock dispersing across a huge variety of retailers. As for the above regarding COO, I guess even if they're produced in meadville its possible the power feeding the plant is somehow tainted by foreign sourcing...maybe the transformers or fuel oil are...

Picked up a compression gauge off the classifieds here, but now Im in need of some adaptors. Looking at SO's website they offer a handful or various types. My question is which ones are the most common for passenger vehicles? Im guessing m14x1.25? Its just not quite as simple/annoying as my...

So whats the scoop on all these guys getting the "new" Snap ratchets so cheap?

Re: So whats the scoop on all these guys getting the "new" Snap ratchets so cheap? I've seen this first hand, program tools up and buys a bunch of tools/boxes/gear a year or five later the program either is stalling, has no funding anymore, is cancelled or never got legs and the program is...

Rats - Armstrong, Proto, Powr-Kraft and some Plvmb

A few things for sale that I realized I won't use. All but the flex rat should fit in a flat rate box I think, so everything is plus $5 shipping. I will combine or meet locally and I'm open to offers if I'm way out of line. No owners marks on anything. The crappy dolly is not included ;) PM...
