Has anyone tried to put casters on the bottom of their 2x4 Basics bench or assembly table? If so, might you be able to put up a photo or two to show how you did it? THANKS !!! :)

Okay, this is a GREAT idea ... simple yet impressively creative and versatile. I realize I'm late on the viewing (from when you originally posted this), but you just inspired me to, perhaps, try to incorporate a similar idea with my current WIP workbench project . . . . so THANK YOU for that...

That is SO COOL !!! If you ever get a chance, perhaps you might consider making a short video showing how you use your powdercoating station? I've only ever seen videos of the big ole professional booths and such ... would love to see a home/benchtop demonstration. NICE WORK !!! :bowdown:

I really do think they did a very good job with this recent upgrade/update. I mean, let's face it, it's still Harbor Freight ... but compared to the previous model, this latest/current model has a lot of upgraded features found on the more expensive brand name saws. I plan on replacing/updating...

Well, I did manage to "find" a decent one out back of my local CVS store. :cool: I found that the Habitat for Humanity ReStore - Orange County apparently sells pallets for $2.50 ea - so I may go check them out soon.

WOW :bounce: ... Well, my daily commute home takes me relatively close to the Honda Center area (and I've been living in OC for over 17 yrs, so I know my way around pretty well). The problem is that I work in Rancho Cucamonga and I don't get back into OC until (at earliest) 5:00 PM each...

Did you ask them if you could have them ... or did ya just take 'em?

Tried my local Home Depot . . . ANSWER: "No ... We recycle the pallets" Tried my local Costco . . . ANSWER: "They belong to the vendor, and the vendor comes to pick them up" :dunno: the hunt continues

Well, if the pallets I find don't appear to be appropriate for what it is I am hoping to accomplish with this project, I suppose I could always construct my own using 4x4's and ... I dunno ... 1x6s (??)

I am really wanting to build/put-together this kind of project . . . . We have a spare bedroom in the house and I was thinking this kind of idea would be PERFECT .... and could even serve a dual purpose as a kind of "futon" sleeping bed(s). I have yet to do a DIY "pallet" project ...

I was thinking that Costco would have TONS of 'em ... though I don't know if they are amicable to simply give them away. I see a stack or two out back of the local supermarkets from time to time ... perhaps I can ask them.
