    Argon/CO2

    x1000 . . . . . . for . . . .you guessed it . . . . . Check Other Suppliers !!! ;) Lots of welding bottles for sale on CL so it makes no sense at all to lease. On CL, I found a nearly full 80 cf bottle of 75/25 for $140 . . . . I'd recommend 80 cf as minimum size. Subsequently, there has...

    Reznor UDAS-30 Heat Exchanger Material

OP . . . . . what Size is your garage, and what Location are you ?? UPDATE GJ Profile with a Location. Those prices sound high for such a small heater. Do you really need Separate Combustion ?? I'd shop around for other brands, and specifically look on Greenhouse websites as often they carry...

x1000 that is fabulous lifetime-keeper set to pass on to grandkids, etc. Heck, that set just begs for . . . . OLD CAR to go along with the tools !!! ;) Now you've got to find an original Model T in good working condition.

^ ^ ^ Ha, Ha . . . you're right, those damn black drawers won't affect functionality !! ;) Good to see you've got use for yours. I'm betting there will be some upcoming deals on Craftsman toolboxes with the implosion of Sears. There might even be some red ones with black drawers !! :pimpflash

Service Cart: Too big to be mobile?

+1 to get Lista box that meets your needs. it will last lifetime for less cost than any SnapOn. With enough MacGyver skills, ANY toolbox can be mobile as you could add E-Bike drive mechanism to the wheels !! ;) Finky198 . . . . . that is NICE setup you've made for mobile toolbox !!

Husky 36 in. 6-Drawer Tool Chest @ HD for $111.20 (Clearance)

What's the proper way to wire this?

There was episode of This Old House where they added nice LED light to closet and used "button switch" that was pressure activated when you opened and closed the door . . . . ie like a car door opening. That way when you opened the door the light automatically went on, and shutoff when you...

Any disadvantage to long air hose after pipe?

^ ^ ^ ^ This . . . . extend the copper airline system. Add a drop off that copper airline extension that will supply a hanging air hose reel. For that large of shop, I would even design in LOOP so that is not a "dead" extension on the airline system that might collect moisture.

LED lights suggestion for my shed

+1 for above recommendation to design zones for your lights in large shop. Also, consider 8 ft fixtures for LED that have 4 ft tubes. That way you "standardize" on 4 ft LED tubes which will be long-term consistent replacement bulb, although with LED you shouldn't be changing bulbs much. Lots...

    Shed Question

^ ^ ^This. Make sure location on property has drainage away from shed, and you properly prep the area with compacted gravel base. With you snow in NY, that will be an issue also. Other consideration is TAX status. Will that size shed on skids be considered "portable" and not subject to any...

+1 that for California the OP's quote is about right. I'd bet you could double what a comparable would be in midwest or south region.

Sears.com hot deals and clearance thread

Noticed "new trick" that Sears is doing with website now . . . . . . . . they do NOT show what SYW points you're earning when you review order. They've also switched from listing everything by points . . . to dollars. I've got nearly $40 in pts and not finding much worth buying, or whether I...

    Very Old Brunner compressor

That's bitchin' cool compressor you snagger Joe.Striper !! I'd also make sure the PRV (pressure relief valve) works. Don't want the compressor to build excess pressure. Great to see you got it running. Might be cool to mount the compressor/motor separate on a shelf and have it feed...

Looking to buy 3/8 impact sockets.

Late to the party as about year ago Sunex had $100 rebate on each master set. That was time to get smokin' deal on great impact sockets. Lately there has been some smaller rebates, but even then Sunex is still the best deal for excellent quality. Here's 3/8" Sunex master set (80 piece) for...

    Laid down compressor -now what?

OP . . . do I spy a copper airline system with hose reel on that middle post ?? +1 to all above posts there's not much risk now after sitting so long. Run the compressor for a while by itself (ie NOT connected to airline system) and get it up to temperature . . . ie blow off bunch of air so it...

    Miller's Falls Bench Grinder

I'd use it as a buffer, that way you'd don't need the guard. +1 to not overpay as even auction price would top out at $25 to $30 or so.

Reel mower like that just screams . . . Clint Eastwood in Gran Torino movie !! ;) +1 to mow often so it's not too tall. Had a guy tell me it's the very best mower for bermuda lawns as it leaves a clean cut.
