    2 post lift concrete question

Yeah, I didn't mean to imply it was structural. I do know of a lift installed in the center bay of a 3 car garage with 8' walls & a hip roof. Most of the rafters have been removed & the lift is supporting the roof at the ridge board.

Forward I10 already has a bar across the posts. It is a clear floor lift.

    2 post lift concrete question

I had the same problem & I have the same lift. 5" 4k psi concrete. I think the installation instructions said 3 3/8" from the slab edge, so I offset my closest anchor that much from the control cuts. Been 1 1/2 years with no problems. I'm in shops regularly, often see posts straddling cuts &...

Convert IR T30 Vacuum Pump to Compressor?

Why would that mean it likely didn’t work out? I agree he is unlikely to get a response from the op though. However, maybe a current member might have some insight.

    Catalyzed varnishes, any suggestions?

10ish years ago, my wife stripped & restained a kitchen table she found somewhere that she liked. I sprayed on 3 coats of automotive 2k clear because that's what I'm familiar with, & I already had some around. It still looks good today

    Water hydrant locations?

After you install it, the perfect (but different) location will become obvious.

Discharching water from a condensate pump in the garage

Don't know much about dehumidifiers, but if you're draining along the floor, do you really need a pump?

Radiant floor heating loops. More shorter loops? 9" vs 12"?

Heating an outdoor slab for comfort? Is that a thing? Never heard of it. Doesn’t seem practical or even possible.

    Liftmaster 8500 installation concerns

I have a 9' door in a 10' ceiling with a 8500 opener. I remember lowering the bar somewhat on the track brackets when I installed the opener, but it was a relatively simple & straightforward project.

    Lending Tools...Yes or No?

My wife's step dad has NEVER returned a tool unless I badgered him to return it. Twice it was a chainsaw that he had for the whole summer. Each time it came back with the chain so dull it wouldn't cut Styrofoam, even though I warned him to keep it out of the dirt. He cut about a half dozen 4"...

LOOKING FOR TOOLBOX DRAWER LINER IDEAS

I just found this stuff & I think it'll be perfect https://www.homeoutlet.com/product/3mm-golden-diamond-eva-underlayment The foil (1 side only) peels away easily. Its thin, firm, black EVA that is oil resistant & non-skid. Exactly what I was looking for in a drawer liner. Bonus that it's...

One 18x8 door vs two 9x9 doors?

I've got 2 9x9's, don't regret it at all. Nice to be able to open only one & not have the whole building letting all the heat out or yawning for everyone to see everything inside. Dont have a problem backing anything I own in. Not a boat guy tho. Looks better for my situation too, wife had...

What to do while walls are still open?

****. Now there is another thing I wish I did. Great suggestion. That stuff works amazingly well on anything with an exoskeleton.

What to do while walls are still open?

Don't forget to run 240 to the most likely spot for the mini split that you do not yet know that you want. So far thats my one regret.
