    Conrete floor question?

Let it cure for a minimum of 28 before you do anything. You have me confused with the water attacking your vintage cars though. A sealer will just fill the pores of concrete and water will stand on the slab. Are you looking for something to try and prevent the floor from staining?

First Time DIY Epoxy - Epoxy-Coat and Golf Shoes?

You can slip with the spiked shoes as well. I am going to check out these new spiked shoes that are on market that are flexible and bend like a shoe which would be much easier to walk in. You can always do what I say to customers while waiting for epoxy to dry I can aerate your lawn for you...

What are my cheapest possibilites here?

I would suggest something in an acid stain or to be more earth friendly use a water based stain. Have to be careful on color selection as some greens and blues turn really dark when exposed to UV rays. Looking at that pic I already have a couple ideas I would suggest as decorative ideas...

    concrete sealer ?

I know sealers are a cheap alternative to epoxies but most epoxies are not UV stable. That is why I am looking for a good sealer for acid stain work on exterior projects. I wasn't worried about free sealer I just want to find a good product for my exterior acid stain jobs.Have used clear epoxy...

    chip spreader

I agree with fuller this isn't rocket science its throwing chips in the air hitting the ceiling watching them rain down like NFL players make it rain at a strip joint or you can throw like seed for more of a full broadcast. I think people get nervous about running out of chips. For a good medium...

Paint vs. Stain the $200 dollar idea

I would suggest an actual high quality stain designed for concrete and it is going to cost more than 8 dollars a gallon and a high quality sealer is not gonna be cheap. Remember good products great results bad products twice as much time and expense to do it again. I like acid stain look as well...

    Best floor for wheel dollys?

An acid stain is also an option. It will give the floor a desired color and still be smooth. There many color options and you can get very creative with designs.

    Garage floor? Not really but?????

I would go with an acid stain or a water based acid stain product. Add some score cuts into the concrete to make it look like tiles in any shape you want and stain them all the same or a couple different colors or if you don't want to cut it can do 2 stains do say a 2 foot border outside one...

A Warning when using solvent based......

I just wanted to give everyone using solvent based products the dangers that lurk with them. I am a member of another board as we do acid staining of concrete as well as epoxies and a fellow contractor was working with solvents and something ignited and house he was working on exploded. He is...

    Shield-Crete Clear Coat

We always use a top coat. It helps seal the chips in and we use a clear epoxy as top coat so it is like getting twice the epoxy and it helps protect the original. it is also a good idea to put anti slip in. It doesn't make it that much more difficult to clean. We make people sign a waiver if...

Benefits/Drawbacks of VCT, Epoxy, Tile, and Stain

That is a good looking floor. The stain will hold up over time as it has been around and used in commercial aspects for many years. I normally do more basements or outdoor living areas with stain but would not guide someone out of it for a garage if it is what they want. It does give your floor...

    No EPOXY, NO TILE, POLISHED!

Wolverine it is true it is not exactly new. I am just saying it is becoming more popular as a concrete finish alternative. The market for polished concrete is growing and there are draw backs to almost any product if you want to dig and find them. I personally wouldn't recommend it for a garage...

Polished concrete is the next big thing that is going to happen to concrete. Have been studying it and seeing the market for this grow and looking to possibly expand into it as it does look great when done right. Good luck with your project and show us pics when its done.

    A few newbee questions

I agree that every product you see here looks good then next post says junk. I also agree on the prep prep prep as it is like anything else the work involved in getting a project ready takes longer than the project. I did a small acid stain job a couple weeks ago about 400 sq. ft. I spent 5...
